Before you dive into this, there is one thing you must know. The thing with supplies lists...

When you are more advanced in art, you'll probably allready have a lot of art supplies. By all means: use what you've got! There's no need to buy more art supplies. Unless you want to of course, hehe.

If you're a beginner and you don't have a lot of the supplies on this list... Don't let the amount overwhelm you. You do not need all the supplies on this list. Start with the basics first. If a lesson needs very specific materials, please watch the lesson first and decide for your-self if you are willing to make the investment or not. Often there are cheaper alternatives.

BASIC SUPPLIES LIST

(This is not the full list, but a list of the most basic supplies I think you need to do all the lessons without needing to invest in a truckload of art supplies. The detailed list per lesson is on the next pages. )

Fresco Finish chalk acrylics by Paper Artsy in Taupe, Concrete, Slate, Stone, Mud Splat, Koala, London Night, Buff, etc. It doesn't matter which ones, they're all pretty. But in the lesson I will show you how you can mix similar colors yourself too, so you do not need to invest in these if you don't want to.)My favorite brand of water color pa-

per is Arches. Very expensive paper, I

warn you, but it is perfect! Other good

brands are: Fabriano or Strathmore.

This is the most fun one of them all. You won't regret it. In Europe Daniel Smith paints are a bit harder to get. After studying graphic design at an Academy of Arts Marieke Blokland worked in the marketing of art & craft supplies for a large retailer for a decade. Since 2014 she works as an independent entrepreneur, artist, designer and illustrator under the name of Bloknote. She is the founder and head-teacher of BloknoteAcademy, an online art journaling and mixed media school.
