VINTAGE: 2014 ALCOHOL: 13.9% APPELLATION: California This Cab is naturally complex in nature, being a true California blend which has utilized the terroir of cool central California, Mendocino County as well as the renowned Lodi delta region to fashion a balanced and rich Cab. A combination of both American and French oak influence adds structure and caramel/vanilla aromatics that frame the varietal fruit. 2014 was a relatively early ripening, modest crop vintage that allowed harvest at the winemaker’s discretion, resulting in fully ripe Cabernets showing bright fruit, hints of jammy character and devoid of any green, herbal notes that can plague cold, late vintages. WINEMAKER NOTES This is a dark ruby colored Cabernet that opens with aromas of black cherry and red berry along with some mocha and toasty oak notes. Nicely balanced ripe tannins along with moderate acidity frame a full flavored mouth that echoes the vibrant aromatics.
