APPELLATION: Upper Hemel-en-Aarde BLEND: Pinot Noir (100%) WINEMAKER: Hannes Storm VINEYARD: Moya’s Pinot Noir hails from a northern slope in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. The vineyard is cluttered with large pebbles in the topsoil with decomposed Granite in the subsoil. Climate is Maritime and vineyards lie at 150 metres above sea level. VITICULTURE: Viticulture is transitioning to organic. WINEMAKING: Must is fermented in wooden and stainless steel open-top containers with native yeasts. Wine is aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new. It is then is bottled without fining or filtering. WEBSITE: http://www.stormwines.co.za/ This wine is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. TASTING NOTES: On the nose there’s an attractive rose petal, red berry fruit and a delicate perfume.
