Joy to all mankind … Bah! Spend an evening in the company of a mean, tight-fisted, squeezing, grasping, clutching old miser. Bah! Watch horrified as Ebenezer Scrooge is haunted by four creepy ghosts (wooo-oooh) each one more terrifying than the last. Bah! Sob at the bedside of a tiny, malnourished child riven with rickets. Bah! Yes, the team that brought you Great Expectations, Dracula, and The Odyssey will now take you on a grim journey through the dark, dismal streets of Victorian London, where ignorance and want cower together, with a few laughs. Bah!
We are proud to present the Great Phil-dini, champion juggler, master of manipulation, a legend of the circus world, unfortunately accompanied by hapless stage-hand, Horace, whose eagerness to entertain outshines his talent. The Great Phil-dini has performed in the grandest of venues from Venice to Vegas, whilst Horace has carried his bags. Expect spectacularly high unicycling, breath-taking ladder balancing, juggling, and magic, all interwoven with physical comedy and mayhem. An hilarious circus show for all of the family.

An hilarious, highly-skilled circus show for all of the family.

Sonrisa (pronounced s-on-ree-sa) return to the rural touring stage with their popular show which provides a musical journey from Spain to South America, combining a collection of original material with traditional songs from the Latin world given a unique interpretation. All performed by five outstanding musicians comprising vocals, trumpet, flute, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, cajon, and percussion. This show covers Latin styles including Cuban Son, Tango, Bossa Nova, Samba and Rumba. Get up, join in and have a go, or sit back and soak up an evening of fun vibes, rhythms and song.
Join Mr. Tom Carradine on the Ol' Joanna as he presents an evening of timeless songs with audience participation. Let your host lead you in a traditional cockney sing-a-long, with songs from the music hall era, WWI and II, the West End stage and traditional popular songs from across the decades. A good old-fashioned knees-up! A music hall and old time music aficionado, the show’s creator Tom Carradine wanted to capture the flavour and atmosphere of a sing-a-long and recreate it for audiences young and old.

Warm, vibrant and toe tapping. You won’t want to let them off the stage.
Carradine’s Cockney Sing-a-long is a deceptively simple, winning formula, brilliantly executed. A terrific night out.

A fusion of Irish and contemporary dance to share Keira’s life and working class upbringing, generously presented with a sense of humour and irony. Best described as Irish dance deep in thought, Keira Martin shares hard hitting and heart-warming chapters of her life to address stereotypes and challenge labels.
A fresh and funny family show which is a retelling of the traditional story. Was it a dream, or did I hear a talking bean? Jack lives on a farm with his mum and very little to eat. He likes to talk to the birds, his cow, and anyone who will listen. Imagine his surprise when he swaps his cow for some magic beans … .
An earthy story of courage, conviction, and hope, this play is a refreshing look at Joan of Arc. Performed by drag king champion, Lucy Jane Parkinson, JOAN takes the stage as a gutsy, gender warrior dragging-up as the men she defies in this smash hit show. A fearless solo show with uproarious songs exploring what it means to stand out, stand up, and stand alone.

Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman are one of the UK Folk scene’s enduring partnerships – the couple’s strength of passion on stage have won them many fans. From their highly praised albums, fans of folk and acoustic music can only wonder where this couple will choose to turn next. With a story that includes over 20 years of music with the likes of Seth Lakeman, Cara Dillon, Levellers, Kate Rusby and Show Of Hands, Kathryn and Sean are pillars of modern British Folk.
A close-harmony piano-led wonder, Mumbo Jumbo brings together three top Midlands singer/songwriters to produce an ‘eclectic acoustic’ sound that is all their own at festivals, theatres, and village halls across the country. Twice British Blues Awards nominees, Oliver, Phil, and Chris play nine instruments and combine to produce strong harmonies, interweaving the songs with stories and lots of self-deprecating humour.

NINEBARROW are a multi-award-winning folk duo, who are impressing audiences across the country with their innovative and captivating take on the folk tradition. Combining breath-taking vocal harmonies and melodies, they deliver songs and stories inspired by the landscape and history of the British Isles. An evening with the duo isn’t just a concert with superb music, it’s also a night of folklore and storytelling at its very best.

Charlie Bicknell is a force to be reckoned with in No Angel – a new show packed with anarchy, wit, and comic ingenuity. Songs range from Tim Minchin to Meatloaf, Jacques Brel to Bizet, with acrobatic antics, whilst simultaneously singing! With exceptional pianist David Harrod, and Jez Brodie (the ex-postman turned circus strongman), this show involves no actual animals and very few fish. A magnificent evening’s entertainment!

Stephen Macdonald’s Fringe First winning play about the unique friendship between celebrated WWI poets, Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon, when they met at Craiglockhart Hospital in 1917 and the bonds made from a mutual hatred of war and their love of poetry. This production won a Best Actor accolade at the Wales Theatre Awards, and embarks on a world tour commemorating the centenary of both the meeting depicted in the play, and of the Armistice.
The Operadudes are superb performers, and this is your chance to find out how a classically trained ex-brickie and an ex-Cambridge scholar can entertain with singing of the highest quality. Grand Opera, Showstoppers, ballads, classical piano, ridiculous impressions and humour to boot. As well as Grand Opera, great piano music and favourites from the worlds of Broadway and Swing, this show offers the opportunity to learn the hidden mysteries of Bel Canto. This is one of the funniest, original, classical double acts you are likely to see.

Helena wanted a new cat. What she got was the devil in disguise. Scarred arms, rejected affections, and a trauma with a lasagne become the least of her worries in the aftermath of a referendum. It’s time to move back to Slovakia and for Linda to dish out the biggest blow of all. This is a blunt and touching physical comedy performed by Gloucestershire based Elise Heaven.
Son Yambu play authentic Cuban son, the intoxicating fusion of Spanish and African rhythms that gave rise to salsa. The band features a new generation of Cuban musicians all passionate about maintaining the traditions of the genre and the Buena Vista legacy that put Cuban music back on the map. A truly sensational, authentic Latin music experience.

The real sound of Santiago De Cuba.
Hilarious, heartfelt, thought provoking. Phenomenal debut show.
Beneath the sewers of the Paris Opera House dwells a masked figure. He is the Phantom; a hideously disfigured composer whose dream it is to turn chorus singer, Christine, into a diva. Lon Chaney, the ‘Man of a Thousand Faces’, dominates this classic adaptation of the 1910 novel by Gaston Leroux. His ghastly make-up and outrageous performance made this one of the great classics of American silent film. This screening will feature a new original score performed live by acclaimed soundscapers Minima.

Dr Nicolas Grimoire’s spine-chilling blend of magic and storytelling is in the fine British tradition of the Hammer Horror films – a tongue-in-cheek display of un-nerving mind-reading, Gothic magic, and spooky storytelling. Hear the terrifying story of one of this country’s most unusual murders, discover secrets held by ancient photographs, and help summon the spirits of those long dead.

One of the leading bands accompanying silent film in Europe.
An enchanting tale from Norwich Puppet Theatre. There once was a remarkable tin soldier who fell in love with a beautiful paper dancer and then tumbled out of a window ... so begins a perilous journey into the unknown. This playful retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s poetic story uses light-projected animation and simple materials that are skilfully transformed through puppetry to create a theatrical experience that will engage and touch young hearts and minds.

A truly magical evening; like a young Mel Torme,
Chris Read is brilliant. Jessica is a deeply inventive and
profoundly creative composer and performer who is
unique and breathtakingly brilliant.
Woodland trees transform from dark weathered branches to silver sticks of frost. Hidden in brushwood, beside an ice-covered lake, a lost rejected duckling stares skyward at the migrating swans, marvelling at their beauty and yearning to belong. Moving through all four seasons, tutti frutti and York Theatre Royal brings to life Hans Christian Andersen’s well known tale. With a menagerie of mean, farmyard animals depicted through inventive physicality, and with live music that quacks and trills, this charming production plays with ideas of identity, a sense of belonging, and the journey to discover inner beauty.

Actor, pianist, singer, and general one-man band, Michael Lunts, presents this potted ‘history’ of the comedy song mining the archives from the 1870s to the 1970s: from Gilbert and Sullivan to Tom Lehrer; from Music Hall to Monty Python. While offering a fascinating overview of the comedy song, ‘Tickling The Ivories’ is first and foremost musical entertainment, smile-inducing, laughter-engendering entertainment, as Michael works his way, and his fingers, through ten decades of musical wit. One man, a white jacket, 88 piano keys, and a treasure trove of musical mirth.
