AS Media Representation of womenWithin this scene, the actress Bryce Dallas Howard is portrayed in this shot as over confident as she is near central of the shot, furthermore this is also emphasised by her body language as she is stood up right, furthermore her feminism is expressed by the choice of costume which makes her look elegant and her hair is well kept, in addition to that she is also wearing light, feminine colours. She has a very smug look on her countenance and her dominance is expressed by her face expressions and eye contact as she is looking directly at someone with poise. In this shot she is portrayed as a strong independent woman who is career minded as she looks like she knows exactly what shes talking about.

The low angle expresses how small and meek she is, this is further emphasised by the height difference between her and the male character, as he is in a heroic stance looking confident and she is beside him portrayed as helpless. This is stereotypical as men are usually viewed as stronger and more heroic whilst the woman is viewed as weaker and the damsel in distress.

In this close up shot, her face expressions are highly visible, as she looks fearful. Stereotypically female emotions are always shown, as they are viewed as emotional, the close up emphasises this as she is also in the centre of the image to portray her fear. In this shot she also looks vulnerable which is also a stereotype for women.

The character Claire in this shot is portrayed as helpless and fearful, as she is on the floor casting her face up in dread. Her hair is also messy and she is sweating which shows she has also been running which emphasises that she is in fear and has tried to run. The fear in this image is also emphasised how her makeup has been washed away by her tears which evidently demonstrates that she has been crying which stereotypically females are associated with being in touch with their emotions. The fact she is also placed on the floor demonstrates she is helpless in this situation; females are usually portrayed in needing a hero to save them also.
