Are you ready to live out the promises we make at baptism to nurture and care for our children in real and tangible ways? There is no better way to surround our children in love and model Christ than to volunteer in Children’s Ministries! Please prayerfully consider the various ways you can minister to children at First Presbyteri-an Church.

Sunday School Teacher: Do you remember the adults who were important to you growing up? As a Sunday school teacher you have the privilege of being that kind of an adult. Sunday school teachers are provided all the curriculum and supplies they need to prepare their lesson each week. You don’t have to be a parent to teach. All are welcome! Your commitment: Your commitment of even just once a month helps us keep our Sunday School Program running smoothly for our children. We have 5 different clas-ses for our children: Peepers (2-3 year olds), Lambs (Pre-K), K-1st grade, 2-3rd grade, and Club 456 (4-6th grade). Sunday school runs from 9:30-10:15am.

Sunday School Shepherd: Shepherds assist Sunday school teachers with classroom management and craft activities during Sunday school time. This is a great way to get involved and ‘ease’ into teaching a class yourself!

Our Spring 2017 Sunday School Schedule runs from January 8 - May 21, 2017. We will not have Sunday school on March 12 and March 19 due to Spring Break.

If you would like to get involved in this im-portant ministry, please contact Angela Green, Director of Children’s Ministry at [email protected] or 256-536-3354, ext. 129.

Church members can pick up their 2017 pre-printed offering envelopes in the Fellowship Hall before and after the 10:30 a.m. worship service this morn-ing.

February 5th is "Souper” Bowl Sunday! The Youth will be accepting monetary and can donations to stock the church pantry during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. The PYC will meet at 5:00 pm at the church before heading to the home of Charlotte and John Wessel for our Super Bowl Party!

First Friends Registration 2017-2018: Reg-istration of currently enrolled students and their siblings begins February 1st. Registra-tion for church members begins Feb. 3rd. Registration for the community begins Feb. 6th. Registration forms are available in the church office. Contact Lacey Guthrie with questions or if you need more information.
