But I do not teach 7th Grade!6th grade teachers can help
prepare students by also practicing Explore type questions in their instruction twice a month.
![Page 8: ASSESSMENT and ACCOUNTABILITY UPDATE Create by KAAC Modified by Kenna Williams](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022032703/56649d0f5503460f949e5584/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
But I do not teach 7th Grade!8th grade teachers do not have much of a
role in the preparation of the Explore test , since the test is taken at the very beginning of the students 8th grade year.
However, 8th grade teachers can help by announcing the upcoming test, reviewing test format and even practicing some sample test questions at the beginning of the year.
After the test 8th grade teachers need toReview the scores and complete ILPInterventions for those who did not meetBenchmark scores.

![Page 16: ASSESSMENT and ACCOUNTABILITY UPDATE Create by KAAC Modified by Kenna Williams](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022032703/56649d0f5503460f949e5584/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)

• Each content area test is divided into multiple parts (i.e., one, two or three parts).
• Each part is a separate test session.
• Proctors must stop at the end of each part for a break.
• Breaks may be short (i.e., stand and stretch) or long (i.e., lunch) with appropriate monitoring.

PRACTICE TIME TEST IN CLASS!!!Teachers it is imperative that we
are practicing timed test in our classrooms!
Example: If students get 30 minutes on the part A reading test for 30 MC , then practice this format in your classes!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PART B & C?
20
Notice the difference between part B & C is one short answer question. The time difference between the two is only 5 minutes. HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD STUDENTS TAKE ON EACH SHORT ANSWER? WHEN YOU PRACTICE SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS, HOW MUCH TIME ARE YOU ALLOWING?
