Sound EffectsWhen planning our sound effects, I often used youtube a source for this as it offers plenty of sound effects. There are some channels that specify in sound effects, whereas some are relatively random and can be found all over YouTube on various channels. We used these sound effects in our OTS as they sounded very realistic and were suitable for us.

Here you can see that just from searching up the words sound effects, you are instantly directed to a couple of youtube channels that specialise in sound effects.

This image shows that if you type in a specific sound effect, a number of different videos will be suggested with some showcasing just the sound and others giving tutorials for you to recreate the sound at home. They are also copyright free allowing anyone to download and use them.

Foley EffectsSimilar to the sound effects, I found that the best resource for foley effects was

YouTube as there was lots of tutorials showing how to recreate these foley effects.We used the twig snapping foley to create a realistic twig snapping sound to enhance the intensity of the scene where the fisherman is walking backwards shocked and scared.Another one we used was the blood gushing foley, we found this off a website called……. This website was very helpful as it provided a description on how to create the sound

This video was very helpful as it gave me a lot of ideas on some foleys that I could use. It Also taught me about the foley effects.

This is an example of a video that teaches you how to make a specific foley effect. However I didn’t use this video as snapping a twig is very straight forward and easy to do.
