critical power ”.

Then Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar has given his enlightening lecture
in which difference between UG/PG education was explained.
Difference between UG/PG education:
Bachelor degree concerned with general education.
Master degree is possession of advance education.
Doctor’s degree gives license to teach and guide others.
In research you do not get well defined problem to solve. It is your
job to define the problem as well to solve it.
PhD is like a time unbound exam in which problems are different
for different students. The final marks will be more than minimum
which is fairly high but you are allowed for multiple attempts to achieve
the result

Thinking is said to be reproductive when it is based on similar
problems encountered in the past or taught.
Productive when it generates as many alternative approaches
as possible.
Research is all about productive thinking which is also called
high order thinking consisting of creative thinking and
creativity.

Activity to gain an appreciation of the level of thinking.
Creativity
Ability to look at the same thing as everyone else and think
something different.
