ELIGIBILITY Be 18 to 26 years old Must face one or more of the following barriers to employment: (a) have no/low income and/or receive
public assistance; (b) have previously experienced homelessness or be in supportive or transitional housing; (c) have prior court-involvement or juvenile adjudications; (d) be chronically under/unemployed; (d) be without a GED or high school diploma; and/or (f) be an emancipated foster care youth. Interest in urban agriculture/gardening; may have completed one year of the Urban Farm's high school Youth Workforce Development program or one year of similar urban agriculture experience

The Chicago Lights Urban Farm’s Assistant Grower Internship is a ten-month (March–December 2018), part-time paid opportunity that provides individuals with advanced job readiness and site-specific training.
COMPENSATION: $12/hour
