Course Structure and Assessment

• Why and introduction to Estate Planning• Life Cycle of Wealth and Estate Planning• The tools of Estate Planning • Estate planning creates opportunities for Sales• Estate Planning and Fund Creation• Business Succession Planning

The AEPP® certi�cation programme is delivered through a two-day workshop. To be accredited as a AEPP designee, you will need to attend the workshop and pass the end of course test. For workshop dates, you may wish to visit http://www.rockwills.com.sg/education.aspx.

Day 1 – Practical Aspects of Estate Planning

• Mass Affluent Estate Planning• Inheritance and Concepts involved in wealth perpetuation• Family Business Succession Issues and strategies• Legacy Planning for High Net-Worth clients• Offshore companies and structures in wealth management

Day 2 – Estate Planning for Mass Affluent, Family Businesses and HNW

This program is a practical and marketing based course for �nancial advisers wishing to use estate planning to enhance their core advisory services. This accreditation is awarded by the Society of Will Writers & Estate Planning Practitioners (SWWEPP) of the UK and the Estate Planning Practitioners Limited (EPPL). Since April 2007, it has bene�ted more than 3,000 practitioners in the banking and �nancial planning industry. This programme has also been widely conducted in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Our dynamic and experienced course facilitators have plenty of insights to share with you on how to use estate planning to energise and supercharge your advisory business.

Rockwills Institute Pte Ltd is the approved course provider for the AEPP® certi�cation programme which has been endorsed and jointly awarded by EPPL and SWWEPP.

He has trained numerous �nancial consultants from insurers as well as IFAs. A �nancial con-sultant himself with more than 15 years of experience, he focuses his practice on planning for Business Owners using estate planning. He is highly effective in penetrating this market and often able to win over clients from banks and other intermediaries who serve the Ultra HNW individuals and business owners.

Your Program Leader (Day 1):

He is a member of the Law Society’s Probate Practice and Succession Planning Committee, Chiwi has been adjunct lecturer at the SMU's Masters’ program in Wealth Management, (Estate Planning and Tax). He has regularly been invited to speak at various seminars organized including IRAS and the IBF. He is the author of various books including the “The Rockwills Guide to Succession and Trusts in Wealth Management ”, 3rd edition, 2017.

Boon Yam is an active volunteer in public education on estate & �nancial planning for various government and private agencies. These include speaking engagements on public forum for CPF members; His views have been aired on radio shows, and he has been featured on TV channels like Channel U & Channel 8, and major Chinese newspapers like Lianhe Zaobao, Shin Min Daily News and Lianhe Wanbao.

Alan Wong, AFP®, AEPP®, is the Principal Consultant of W3 Consultancy Pte Ltd which provides training and consultancy services in the specialized �eld of Business Protection Planning. He has won awards for the Trust businesses he have completed.

Lee Chiwi was called to the Bar of England & Wales as Barrister-at-Law in 1986 and admitted as Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore in 1988. In 2004, he was appointed as Chief Executive of British & Malayan Trustees Limited. He joined Rockwills Singapore in 2008 as Chief Executive and is widely recognized for his expertise in the Trusts industry.

Boon Yam joined the wealth management industry in 2000 after several years working as a regional manager in a MNC. Boon Yam specializes in advising business families and high net worth individuals on comprehensive wealth management and succession planning. His work involved facilitating the setup of family wealth structures and family governance to ensure peace and harmony within the family.

About the Estate Planning Practitioners Limited (EPPL)

The EPPL will also be responsible for working with various country representatives to pro-mote the current professional designation – the Associate Estate Planning Practitioner (AEPP) and International Corporate Services Practitioner (ICSP) designations – and other future designations related to the practice of estate planning. It will also work with various country representatives to create and promote awareness of the importance of estate plan-ning to the public – a critical component of wealth distribution (in the context of complete wealth planning).

The Society of Will Writers & Estate Planning Practitioners is a well-respected non-pro�t self-regulatory organization which seeks to protect the public and serve the interests of active professionals in the �eld of will-writing and estate planning practice in the United Kingdom.

The Estate Planning Practitioners Limited is the body which promotes estate planning as a professional practice throughout Asia via training, seminars, conferences and exchange of ideas.

Cost and How to Apply

The course fee for the AEPP® certi�cation programme is $1200.00 (excludes lifetime AEPP® designation fee of S$250.00).

This fee includes:- The course manual - 2-day workshop- Assessment fee

This program has been awarded 50% IBF funding of direct training costs. Do take note that the IBF grant is only for corporate-sponsored employees from the banking and �nancial services industry. You may wish to visit IBF’s website at www.ibf.org.sg for more information about this. You may also use your SkillsFuture credits for this where applicable.
