This means that ~70-80% of our space is reserved for

“freshmen – classified as U1s”

TAMU-G students are classified as upperclassmen

(as all of you have completed your U1 year by the

end of Spring 2017)

Options for TAMU-G students are:

Gardens Apartments (pay by the month property – can apply May 1st )

Wait List for ResHalls / White Creek Apartments(all pay by semester properties – can apply TBD but anticipate mid-May)

Corps of Cadets (as this option never closes – can apply now)

Summer School Housing

TAMU-G students can apply “NOW” for Summer

School housing

SSI housing dates: May 13th – July 3rd

SSII housing dates: July 3rd – Aug 19th

Summer School will be housed in Schuhmacher

Hall (HHH) and Fowler-Hughes-Keathley (FHK)

When to Apply For Fall

You will be notified when you can apply for

on-campus housing (date TBD but anticipate mid-May)

All housing assignments are based on your housing

application date (the date you signed up for housing)

This is not your Admission / acceptance date

Engineering LLP (ELLP) students from Galveston will be

worked first (from the Wait List)

You can apply for a $300 deposit deferral when you

fill out the housing application

Asking for the deposit deferral will NOT impact your

application status

“Pay by Month” Housing (Gardens Apartments Only)

You can start to apply on/after May 1st after 3 pm

Those wanting “pay by the month” at the Gardens

can apply “now”…the $50 application fee will be paid

when you apply

You have NOT signed a contract yet

Students are notified “weekly” (if approved) of your

apartment status (based on the style of apartment &

move-in date)

Applications are not transferrable to the ResHalls

“Pay by Semester” Housing (ResLife Halls and White Creek)

You will be coded to allow you to apply on

“this campus” (date TBD but anticipate mid-May)

Those wanting ResLife “pay by semester” properties

will be offered the “Wait List” (ResHall or White Creek)

Engineering students will be moved to

“Guaranteed Housing” if the hall preferences match

ELLP (or Engineering Commons) Mosher / Aston / Krueger

All other students will remain on the Wait List until

space becomes available (late May/early June)

Those on the Wait List have a signed a contract

Cancellation penalties will apply (if space is offered)

Housing Wait List(ResLife Halls and White Creek)

For the past 2 years, every student who was on

the Wait List was offered a space on-campus

…and we are hopeful this will continue this year

But, these assignments could initially be:

A temporary space (study carrel or TV lounge)

3rd person in a room (only done ONCE in the past

10+ years)

The longer you can wait;

the better your chances are

and the more options you will have

Anticipate Wait List offers will be done by mid-June
