at e Unitarian Universalist Church of the Lehigh Valley 2018 OCTOBER 14 – 3 PM Kevin Ahfat Canadian-born Juilliard grad Kevin Ahfat returns to the UUCLV for a solo recital of colorful, folkloric, and virtuosic works by Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky, Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann, Nikolai Medtner, and Alberto Ginastera. NOVEMBER 11 – 3 PM Patrick Kerssen Patrick Kerssen is an emerging young Lehigh Valley jazz pianist with repertoire ranging from the Great American Songbook to jazz standards to original music. Kerssen and his trio combine strong blues influences with more contemporary jazz sensibilities to create an engaging and exciting performance that is both accessible and complex. 2019 FEBRUARY 10 – 3 PM Holly Roadfeldt Holly returns to the Second Sunday Series with a sparkling program featuring music by celebrated women composers Clara Schumann, Lili Boulanger, Joan Tower, and Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, along with two works composed for her by Rasa Daukus (“Glistenality”) and Jessica Rudman (“e Tenderness, as Light as Water”). T he UUCLV presents a series of Sunday afternoon concerts showcasing local and regional musicians and the church’s exquisite Schimmel concert grand piano. All concerts begin at 3 PM and are followed by a “meet the artist” reception. Concerts are held in the church’s second floor sanctuary. NEW THIS YEAR – elevator to second floor sanctuary! Convenient handicapped entrance located on the south side of the church building (Wesley St.). Doors open at 2:30 PM.
