Location Vista Atenas Bed & Breakfast is located in Sabana Larga, Atenas, a well known rural spot for those free spirits who are looking for tranquility, a nice place to relax. Placed up in the hills where you can see the sky touching the atenas`s mountains, Vista Atenas B&B is 3 klms

from Atenas Village, on the way to jaco beach and Manuel Antonio National Park. To get here from San Jose International Airport by rental car takes about 35 minutes driving crossing the picturesque town of Atenas

Driving Directions: From the Juan Santamaria Airport, follow the highway toward San Ramón. After 7 km turn at the exit to Atenas, Jaco, Manuel Antonio. Drive.4 km to Atenas, continue another 3 km and after the

flashing light, turn left at Vista Atenas and follow the signs to the B&B.

By Bus: From Coca Cola terminal to Atenas, one hour and 15 minutes. In the town’s center (across the street from the bus terminal) hire a taxi to the B&B, less than 5 minutes travel time.

Guests at Vista Atenas B&B awake to the smell of fresh brewed local coffee and a scrumptious homemade

breakfast served in the splendor of our multicolored, art infused sunroom - or poolside on our ‘Mars’ terrace. In keeping with their long-term vision for Vista Atenas B&B, Belgian owners Vera & Jean have installed a solar water heating system which provides hot water to all rental units. Independent fresh water well is also

planned for the near future; further connecting Vista Atenas to the radiance and abundance of its natural surroundings. Free wireless internet connection is available.

Our helpful staff can assist with any in-country travel planning, including tour bookings and flight arrangements. Transportation from the airport at arrival can also be arranged and the rental car can be

delivered the next day at the B&B. Relax knowing your flight home has been confirmed and that our fully bi-lingual manager is there to assist in any way possible.

About Atenas Costa Rica

On the road towards to the Central Pacific is the rural town of Atenas. It sits at a higher altitude and is said

to have the “best climate” in all of Costa Rica, maybe even worldwide, by National Geographic magazine. Atenas belongs to Alajuela province, just 21 kilometers from Alajuela City. Our County is the neighbor, at the North, of Grecia, Palmares, Naranjo, and San Ramón counties, at the

South, of Turrubares and Mora counties (San José Province), at the East, of Grecia and Alajuela counties, and, finally, at the West, of San Mateo, Orotina and San Ramón counties. Atenas extends from East to West on the Old National Road: from La Garita bridge (Grande de San Ramón River) to Concepción River bridge (Cuesta del Monte del Aguacate, San Mateo border); the length

between these two points is 130 kilometers. That is 127 Km2. Atenas has 8 districts: Atenas, Jesús, Mercedes, San Isidro, Concepción, San José, Santa Eulalia, and

Escobal. Its climate was declared to be one of the best climates worldwide since most of it is in warm and dry lands;

in fact, it is one of the warmest regions of the country such as Guanacaste and Puntarenas Provinces and Orotina County. The dry season lasts 4 or 5 months, from December to April, approximately. Atenas town enjoys a moderate climate due to the humid winds which come from San Ramón and go

through the Aguacate Mountain Chain. So, we can conclude that the climate is very warm during the day

time but temperature goes down deeply when the night shows up. We will give a brief view of Atenas for you to enjoy the process of knowing our town, a very beautiful and tourist zone.
