NEW STAFFNEW STAFF
The Rotorvation Helicopters staff
family is growing!
Marianne will answer
all of your accounts
questions with a smile.
Marianne joined the team a few
months ago and has assisted in
streamlining the accounts dept.
Mike Morgan has
stepped into the full
time theory instructor
role.
Mike has been a great help with
the part time theory students. He
brings loads of enthusiasm & en-
ergy to his new appointment.
NEW AIRCRAFTNEW AIRCRAFT
Not that many of
us have seen the
new R44, no
sooner had LVO
hit YPJT, it was straight out to the
bush for Survey operations.
LVO was flown from Sydney by
Mike Hill & Mike Morgan. The trip
took 20 hours with the two Mike’s
singing & creating their own inflight
entertainment along the way!
NEW OFFICESNEW OFFICES
In the world of aviation, change is
inevitable - it really is just part of
the daily process!
At Rotorvation Helicopters we
have upped the anti and have
made some changes of our own.
We
have
moved
the
entire
internal office structure around.
Reception has moved to the old
main theory classroom, which
opened up
the old
reception
area to a
new meet &
greet client
lounge &
office space.
Theory is now in the original front
class room - nice & cosy.
By reshuffling the work spaces, it
has created 2 extra offices to be
used as study areas for students &
hold flight briefings.
Other than a few people not know-
ing which door to use for reception,
the new setup is fantastic.
NEW STUDENTSNEW STUDENTS
The last 3 months have been very
busy with training enquiries on the
rise. For those that have chosen to
become a student with us, we wel-
come you and look forward to as-
sisting you the best we can.

How did I
get stuck to the bubble of a helicopter?
Nutritional food along the way... Is there anybody

Hmmm !?!?!?!?!?

It’s all about the books….It’s all about the books…. With 7 theory subjects, some of
you may ask “How on earth am I
going to get from subject 1 to
subject 7?” The reality is it takes
time & a whole load of study.
There is no easy way but to
apply yourself completely.
Making sure you are ready to sit
an exam can also be quite stress-
ful with time consuming revision,
but it must be done.
We are here to help you! In
order to streamline Rotorvation
Helicopter’s many theory op-
tions, we have incorporated a
few new practices & systems - all
very exciting!
NEW COMPUTERSNEW COMPUTERS
Six laptops have been purchased
for use in our theory classes.
These laptops are equipped with
online aviation theory software.
This program breaks down each
of the 7 subjects to key areas of
understanding. It enables the
student to assess their compre-
hension throughout the study-
ing of each course, making sure
they are on track at all times.
Students are welcome to come
in at any time to work through
the system, just let us know &
we will book you in.
EXAM BOOKINGSEXAM BOOKINGS
The theory instructor is re-
sponsible for booking ALL the-
ory exams for ALL students.
This includes part time & corre-
spondence students.
This greatly benefits our stu-
dents in making sure they are
ready to attempt the exams &
hopefully pass first time.
Exams shall be booked once
students have shown good
comprehension of the subjects.
The instructor will assist stu-
dents in the revision process.

Thanks Mike for all of your hard
work, commitment & dedication to
Rotorvation Helicopters.
After 6 months long service leave
from his day job of “high school
teacher extraordinaire”, Mike Hill
has been sent back to the front
line. It is now time for him to
focus on our next generation of
young Aussie minds, which leads
to his resignation of part time
theory instructor at Rotorvation
Helicopters.
Mike’s bubbly personality and
larger than life stories will be
missed in the office hall ways.

We always knew when Niffy was back, with her fresh baked goods and
very scrumptious “mars bar slice” stocked in the fridge.
Annabelle always bounced in, with her infectious smile, beaming voice
and endless energy.
Both students completed their PPL license initially with Rotorvation
Helicopters and then later
upgraded to CPL(H).
Annabelle has just completed
her mustering endorsement
with David Adamson.
Article follows on pages 4 - 7.
For those of you that have not yet
had the pleasure of meeting either
Annabelle & Niffy, two of our ex
students - included is an article pub-
lished in the West weekend newspa-
per on 07.08.10.
The article provides a very candid
look into the everyday lives of these
two remarkable ladies. It is a great
read.
We loved sharing in Annabelle’s and
Niffy’s rollercoaster ride of training
as both ladies went from PPL(H) to
CPL(H).

land born Luke has known “since for-
ever” that he wanted to fly choppers
for a living.
His spare time now is spent mostly
with his head in his books. Study,
study & more study! He holds a
dream of one day heading down the
search & rescue pathway as a helicop-
ter pilot.
With a determined goal of finishing all
of the 7 CPL theory subjects over the
next six months & then moving
through the flight training syllabus;
Luke aims to be sitting his flight test
within the next 12 months.
