5th Grade Families and Up! THIS IS FOR YOU!

Confirmation classes will be

conducted at Bethel Lutheran each Sunday after

worship services tentatively beginning after Labor Day.

Any person entering 5th grade, and all young

people through high school that have not yet attended

Confirmation, are welcome to participate.

While Confirmation is not a requirement, it is a

wonderful tradition that the Lutheran Church has for

our young people who are developing their own ideas

and learning what their faith in our Risen Savior means

to them.

If you are interested in being a part of this group,

please talk with Pastor Melinda 715-568-1515 or

Debbie Poirier 715-237-2126.

New LSS Website Offers Updated Information and a Fresh Look

JAMBOREE DAYS CHICKEN DINNER

The Bethel Chicken Dinner, held at the New Auburn Jamboree Days on Sunday July 24th, was once again a huge success. Approximately 290 people were served. Billy’s Grill & Catering did a wonderful job in provid-ing the chicken, potato salad, beans and rolls. The total amount taken in from sales was $2,332. The total profit was $1,083 after paying the expenses for providing the food. The profit will be used for church improvements. A huge thank you to all who volunteered. Without your hard work and dedication, this would not be possible.

Your Help Is Needed….

A Special Offering Sunday will be held on Sunday, August 14th,

for the purpose of helping our area Food Pantry in their efforts

to provide needed provisions for area families.

Non-perishable food items are definitely accepted but a money donation goes much farther.

$1.00 donated buys $10 worth of food from the Feed My People food bank.

Please consider donating as you are able.

Please make checks payable to Bethel Lutheran Church.

One check will be written from Bethel to the Food Pantry.

A Special Offering basket will be provided.

The Bloomer/New Auburn Food Pantry provides food to 150-170 families

who rely on the pantry for supplying needed food to their families. Other programs that are in place, also need your help. The

August Back Pack program provides each child with required school supplies for their grade level, Weekend Kids Meals pro-

vides food for the weekend during the school year, Summer Kids Meals are available and the Go-Getters deliver food to the

elderly and disabled. Without the support of the community, many families would go hungry.

An Open House will be held on Thursday, August 18th at the Bloomer/New Auburn Food Pantry on 808 Jackson St, Bloomer from 4 – 7 PM.

Come see the facility and hear more about the great things that are being accomplished

with the help of your donations.

The Food Pantry is open every Friday from 1 – 4 PM.
