The Monon Trail Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (MTES PTO) would like to welcome each family to the 2017-2018 school year. We are a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff who are all dedicated to the successful education of our children. The MTES PTO works hard to help make the school year both enjoyable and exciting for students, teachers, and parents. The purpose of our organization is to aid the students and staff by providing support for educational and recreational needs while encouraging MTES school spirit and pride. In the past we have purchased books for the library and classrooms, provided flexible seating in our kindergarten classroom, drums and xylophone for our music room, instructional classroom kits, sensory bins for speech and language therapy, staff luncheons, teacher appreciation gifts, and much more!! Our group meets once a month to discuss events, plan fundraisers to enhance all programs, and share ideas. This is a wonderful way to find out what is happening at our school from the PTO’s perspective. Our first meeting will be September 12th at 6:30 PM in the school library. We look forward to getting to know you!

Ice Cream Social/ Meet the Teacher August 7th from 5pm – 7pm
When you visit the Stacked Pickle on August 17th and give them the flyer that we will send home with your child, they will give our school a percent of their profits from your meal. Invite friends, family, and neighbors to join you for dinner!!

Never look directly at a solar eclipse!! Special eyewear is required. Angelina Iturrian (PTO
Treasurer) worked with several community partners to provide the special eyewear to all of our students
and teachers!

Big Ways You Can Help! Volunteer We are looking forward to meeting families, parents, and grandparents that would like to get involved with our PTO this school year. Everything we do is based on volunteers! From room parents, volunteering at events, helping at school activities…There are so many ways you can make a difference!

Collect Box Tops Not only do these raise $0.10 per label, but we can enter contests on their website throughout the year. It’s so EASY! Just put them in a Zip-Loc bag with your child’s name and their teacher’s name written on it. The classroom that collects the most box tops receives a special party! We earn $700 each year!
Sign up for Community Rewards & Shop at Kroger Register your Kroger Plus Card to Monon Trail Elementary School and a percent of everything you spend is donated to the school. This provides approximately $4,000 a year!
