During the months of August & September we will be focused on

MEMBERSHIP - Everyone Bring One - as we want to increase

church attendance and membership. You will receive green challenge

cards or pick up one in the vestibule.

We have many opportunities to invite former members, friends, neigh-

bors, coworkers, etc. to the upcoming events such as Church picnic

and baptism, Wednesday night Bible study as well as Sunday School

and Worship. Please make an effort to join us in God’s house for

worship and bring someone with you!

Outside Work Day

To all mow team members and anybody else who

wants to help out with keeping our grounds pretty,

there is a scheduled work day for Saturday morning,

September 10, beginning at 7:30 at the church. We

will be pruning, mulching, and

trimming all over the church grounds. If you are

not already on one of our six mow teams and want

to get involved, let Tony Withers (919-868-9084)

know!!! We can sure use you for a couple of hours

every 6 weeks!!

Finance Team News

Special Offering - Thanks to those who have responded to our

special offering for the A/C Fund! We have collected $5,800 of

the $35,000 needed to fully fund this project. The Finance Team

asks everyone to continue to pray about how you can make addi-

tional contributions OVER & ABOVE your normal tithe....be sure

to mark your envelope A/C Fund. We will continue to take dona-

tions through the fall.

We can use folks to help out and pass out candy to children!

I want to share just a few thoughts in my first newsletter article.

Thank you all for your warm welcome to Macedonia for me and

my daughter, Megan. We have enjoyed meeting you and wor-

shipping with you. I am having a blast working with the chil-

dren on Sundays in Children’s Worship and on Wednesday

nights in Bible study.

I am still new and learning many things about Macedonia.

However, I do appreciate all your love and support of both me

and the Children’s Ministry. I am convinced that there is a way

for everyone to be involved in the Children’s Ministry, even if

you do not have children. Below are some simple things you

can do:

Pray for the children and their families

Pray for the Sunday School teachers, Extended Session

teachers, nursery workers and Wednesday night leaders

Send notes to the children, their families, and teachers/

leaders

Invite a child or family to church

Volunteer to serve as a substitute teacher in Sunday School

or Extended Session

Volunteer to take a turn serving in the nursery on Wednes-

day nights

Sit with a child and their family for dinner on Wednesday

nights

Join us for special events like Family Game Night

Help out with special events like Trunk or Treat
