Heartwarming Thought
Thank you for letting us know that you are missing
us, and missing out on our news. It is really
encouraging to know that people truly care and isinterested in us. Our hearts are warmed!
God Bless!
First and foremost I need to apologise for the lack of
news over the past few months. I (Anne) have been
assigned to do the newsletters for this year, and I
have found myself at a “loss for words.” (Strange, buttrue, for those of you who know me well).
I have slacked in sharing what has been happening
in our lives (the good and the bad).
The importance of keeping you (our network) up to
date with what we are doing, results in a prayer
support, which allows us, Cupidos, to overcome
challenges and to joyfully do what God called us to
do. I now understand why the past few months,
when facing spiritual, physical and emotionalchallenges, it almost seemed overwhelming at times.

When we joined Youth With A
Mission, Worcester four years
ago, we had no idea that God
had a longer term in store for us.
Looking back over the past four
years have really confirmedsome things for us.
Firstly, the call of God on our
lives has been highlighted and
stressed to the point where we
believe it to be full-time and on a
long -term basis. This call is to
us as a family (theCupido’s@Ywam) as well as to
each one of us individually, with
Hezekiah and Keziah reaching
out to those in their friendshipand school circles.
Secondly, our time at YWAM
Worcester, is the training and
preparation time for the
ministry God is equipping usfor.
Thirdly, to be relevant disciples
of the gospel of Christ, to our
fellow missionaries, family,
friends, church and everyone we
meet. When we recently did a
short seminar at our church on
discipleship (more later): the
basics, we were truly challenged
by God to make this part of ourlife-call.
Our ministry call is to disciple
artists, to know Christ (in their
daily walk) and make Him
known to their audiences. To
organize and plan events which

When we bought the Jeep Cherokee Limited Edition
in 2005, we realized that the Holy Spirit promptedus to buy this particular car.
The Jeep has faithfully served us the past six years,
without any major glitches. Fuel prices have
escalated over the past years, yet God has provided
(through you) for our daily transportation costs and
for regular maintenance of the Jeep. Some
supporters have paid the licenses, some have paidfor servicing of the jeep, and some kept us in
prayers for safe journeys and some even washed thecar.
The following incident is one of many on how God
has answered above all that we could ask or hope oreven dream of.

Can we ever forget our time in Kona, Hawaii?Hezekiah and Keziah still talk about their
wonderful experiences in Hawaii and would love togo back.
For those of you who can remember, we went to
Kona Hawaii, April 2009 to do the YWAM Event
Management School (a three month course) and we
completed our practical outreach at Worcester by
assisting with the University of the Nations
Conference at Goudini Spa. This was a two months
planning and organizing of music, song, dance, poetry and sport for the conference.
This experience was truly a highlight of our time in
YWAM, not because we went to Hawaii (it was
lovely of course) but because our vision became
more focused and clear. It was like looking at a
photo that was blurry, but brought sharply intofocus.
Short Term Goal: Staffing the YWAM EventManagement School - 2012
On completion of the school, the Dean of theCollege, Julie Spence, asked us to pray because
YWAM was looking for somebody to pioneer and
run the school in AFRICA. It is YWAM policy that
we first have to staff the school, before we can leadit.
When Julie asked us to staff 2010 in Switzerland, we
truly felt that God wanted us to staff the school, but
due to lack of finances we could not go. The same
thing happened beginning of this year for the
England school.
It is then God spoke to us about our calling, vision
and purpose. He specified that He has called us
long-term to this mission and that we need to work
on our prayer support and fundraising according tothe YWAM values.

Our mission organization has
seventeen values that define our
core beliefs. Value sixteen is the
one God emphasised we had towork on if we want to truly
fulfill His call on our lives. It is
also imperative that we walk in
obedience to the organization Hehas called us to.
The value of relationship-based
support allows us to complete
God’s work, you the senders and
prayer warriors, and us the
goers. Team -work. This is thechallenge we are facing.
Allowing God to lead us to His
Support Team for us based onrelationship and joint vision.
So…………guess our plans for
next year? That’s right. We were
asked to staff the next Event
Management School in England,
January 2012. Outreaches are
planned for July & AugOLYMPICS 2012. (What greater
international event can there be?)
We will share more of this in ournext newsletter).
We would love to share with
you what God has called us to
do, and what we are currently
busy with. Please feel free to ask
us to share with you, at
churches, cell groups, youths, prayer groups, businessenterprises etc.

completely Glorify God. To train
artists to seek creativity and
anointing that is generated from
an intimate relationship with
God the Father, Son and TheHoly Spirit.
It is also our desire to mentor
leaders, to encourage, motivate,
inform, direct, inspire and help
sharpen their vision and call. We
are praying for opportunities to
do this formally, as well,
through workshops, seminarsand camps.
We are currently working on our
vision and mission statement, as
well as the proposal of the
ministry called: ARTSCONNEXION. Jerome is
working on it constantly. It is
hard going and really tough
trying to put onto paper what
we sense God has deposited in
our spirit. (I hope there are some
amen’s out there on this point).
Please pray for clarity of God’s
vision so that we will be able to
share clearly and concisely with
others.
Part of our short-term goals is to
staff an YWAM Event
Management School, so that we
would be able to lead or pioneer
the school here in Africa. Readmore of this on page 3.

PRACTICE DEPENDENCE ON
GOD FOR FINANCES
YWAM is called to practice a life of
dependence upon God for financial
provision.
For individuals and YWAM
corporately this comes primarily
through His people. As God and
others have been generous towardsus, so we desire to be generous.
YWAMers give themselves, their

A few months ago, a friend of Jerome from New
Zealand, informed us that God lay on their heart(him and his wife) to bless us with some money.
We were so excited. Thanking God, we were
already planning on how to spend the money onour current needs.
Well, a few days later, the Jeep broke down, soon
after Angelo spoke to us. We were very worried
because we received estimates of R6 000 to R10 000to have it fixed.
Just imagine our fears, worries and concern on
having the Jeep fixed. It looked impossible with themonthly support we receive.
At this time Jerome felt he had to take the car to
Porters Repair shop (and not the individual
mechanics that work on our base vehicles) for
repairs. The quote we received was for R2100,
leaving us with extra money (from Angelo) to dosome other minor repairs on the Jeep.
People could not believe that Porters could charge
us so “little”. The timing was perfect. This is what
God has done for us and we truly want to exaltHim.
A special thanks to Angelo and his wife for theirfaithful obedience. God Bless you richly.
Hezekiah
Our family had the opportunity to do a
missions programme in our church on the 26th
June. Hezekiah played a solo on the keyboard.
His favourite song “An Ode to Joy.” He surprisedus and we are truly proud of him.
His comment: “It was nice, but scary.”
An Interesting Fact:
Hezekiah loves DESSERT! His constant questionat the table: “What’s for dessert?”
Keziah
Keziah was going to do the welcome at the
church, while waiting she turned to me and said“Mommy you do the welcome, I am feeling too
shy”. So sitting in the bench we could see her
smiling and radiant face supporting us while we
each did our part of the programme. We love youand are very proud of you, Keziah.
It is because of Keziah’s passionate prayers the
weeks before the programme, that we had such
an awesome time with God, and ourcongregation.
An Interesting Fact:
Keziah Adores CHEESE. Melted cheese (if she
can eat that every day) otherwise Pizzas and
pastas (with melted cheese on top) is herfavourite dishes.

YWAM Worcester, our home for the past four years!!!
We want to congratulate our base director and
his wife, Bruno and Judy Guntelach, on their
tenth Wedding Anniversary. God has blessed
them with three children Noah, Johanna and Jemima
The highlight of our year so far
was the hosting of a two-evening
seminar at our church on
Discipleship: the Basics. We
prayed and sought God’s face on
what to teach, and how to teachit.
Having a good understanding of
the gospel is the essence of being
a disciple of Jesus Christ. How to
share the good news with others
clearly and concisely is so
important that it will help us to
be more effective witnesses for
Jesus. Practical sessions were anessential part of the teachings.
The two-evening seminar turned
into three evenings. There was
such an air of expectancy,
hunger for more knowledge ofGod, and excitement.
We would love to include sometestimonies in our next issue.
It was truly an opportunity to
sow back into the church. Thank
you to Southern Hills Baptist
Church, for your faithful prayers
and support over the past four
years. Thank you to our
leadership for standing with us,
and allowing us to step out intoGod’s call for our lives.
Our current involvement on our
base is more administrative and
organizational. We are becoming
more involved in discipleship
teaching, training, mentoringand coaching of individuals.
Changing lives and impactingnations is truly a worthy call!
So…what are we busy with?
