CHANGES IN DROP OFF/PICK UP

PROCEDURES

Parents,

First let us say thank you for being extremely flexible with the changes to our front parking lot procedures. The changes have really improved our parking lot safety and flow of traffic before and after school. Cones and a sign are currently up to remind everyone about the parking and procedures. Let’s review the changes with those who are unfamiliar with them. We no longer allow parking in the lane where the buses arrive and depart. The inner curbing is for our daycare loading and unloading only. The center portion of the parking lot is for our Preschool parents and O’Hara and Ramsey’s students only. These parents are to pull up on the right side of the lot. Parents who are picking up students from the walking gate are asked to please refrain from parking in the front lot. If you are arriving in a car and wish to pick up a student, please pick up them up at the south or north loop parent pickup.

We thank you for not pulling into a parking spot to pick up walkers. Mrs. Amy MullikenDean of Students

Adopt a Christmas Tree

Augusta Ranch participated in the "Adopt a Christmas Tree” program

and it was a great success!

Our students brought in the most beautiful Christmas tree decorations and members of our student council decorated a wonderful tree at the San Tan Mall.

Augusta Ranch’s tree along with several others were auctioned off and the proceeds were donated to Gilbert Community Action Network ("Gilbert CAN").

The Season of Giving

As we receive we give, so the Health Office staff wishes to give thanks to all those responsible for donating clothing items to our closet this school year. A special thanks to the Price family, and Mr. Travis.

December is “Safe Toys and Gifts Month”. Timely, yes? Please remember to give age appropriate gifts to your children, remembering the famous line from “A Christmas Story.”

December 2-8 was “National Hand Washing Awareness Week” reminding us that we should strive to never give or receive all the bugs so easily spread through hand to mouth infection.

The four Principals of Hand Awareness are:

1.Wash your hands when they are dirty and BEFORE eating2.2. DO NOT cough into your hands3. DO NOT sneeze into your hands4. Above all, DO NOT put your fingers into your eyes, nose or mouth.

We wish you a very Merry Christmas!

Becky and Maria
