The perfect foundation Auping was the first to invent the mesh base over 130 years ago. Why? Because we wanted sleeping and resting to be more comfortable and more hygienic. The arrival of the mesh base was revolutionary, and since then we have continued to refine its design. Every detail contributes to the ultimate comfort. Auping’s mesh base has an open structure, creating a cool and well-ventilated bed base. In this way it will always provide resilient support and has a good lifespan.

Ventilation The mesh base has a more open structure than any other bed base. 80% of the underside of the mattress remains free, allowing clean, fresh air to enter. Good ventilation both above and below the bed is not only important for hygiene, but also for the life span of your mattress.

Support Mesh bases are the only bases that offer good support on every square centimetre. Because they have more than 10,000 pressure points they always revert back to their original position.

Adjustability The mesh base is the ideal adjustable bed base. An Auping mattress is fixed to the mesh base with special clips, which means that it bends in a synchronised fashion. The mattress will not slide. Auping mesh bases can be placed on legs independently or may be incorporated into a bed frame. Maximum load during normal use (in a flat position, sleeping, sitting, lying) guaranteed up to a maximum of 140 kg.

Smart Base All our electrically-adjustable bases are ‘Smart’ and do so much more than just provide good ventilation and support. For example, you can say goodbye to those restless nights spent lying awake next to your snoring partner thanks to the anti-snoring function. There is also a smart alarm function that will wake you up gently when you are in the lightest phase of your sleep. Plus, you can connect the bed to all the other smart devices in your home.

Warranty All spiral mesh bases and steel box spring frames have a 35 year warranty on wire and frame breakage. A warranty of 10 years applies to hinges. A standard 5-year warranty applies to motors, gas springs and electronic and plastic components, of which 2 years have complete coverage.

When deciding which mattress is right for you it is helpful to consider your weight, height, sleeping position and the state of your spine. Auping mattresses have an ergonomic core made of Dynamic Progressive Pocket Springs (DPPS®) (literally springs in a pocket) for optimal support. DPPS® pocket springs move independently from one another, allowing them to follow your body contours even better. With the exception of Kiruna, this ultra luxurious box spring has mattresses with a core consisting of both barrel-shaped and cylinder-shaped pocket springs.
