Cini&Nils was established in 1969, when twodesigners began to feel the need to offer theirprojects directly to the market. A varietyof products were developed by the combinedefforts of Mario Melocchi and Franco Bettonica, many of which have since been acquired by the New York Museum of Modern Art. Luta Bettonica and Luca Melocchi joined the company at a later stage, the former as a designer and art director, the latter as a manager and co-designer.Marco Pedersoli is responsible for engineeringall Cini&Nils luminaires.

DE MAJO IIluminazione was first established at the end of the second world war by Guido de Majo, who, having left his native Naples, moved to the Lagoon, and in 1947 founded his first glassworks on the island of Murano. Right from the first moment, although small in size, thanks to a discerning company strategy committed to product quality, this company played an important role in Murano glassmaking, becoming, in just a few years, a solid and consolidated industry.

ENDO Lighting Corporation has been making various proposals as an original brand maker of lighting fixtures and equipment since its inception in 1967

Mr. Fumagalli Giancarlo, in 1973 an individual company called "La Bottega dei Maestri Forgiatori" was born in Varese (north of Italy) specialising itself in the artistic handwork of wrought iron indoor lightings.

An intuition of Mr. Fumagalli lead the company to an evolution, creating an innovative outdoor lightings production system, consisting of a galvanized steel tube covered by resin material.

Fumagalli family decides to turn the individual company into a limited company, going on with the manufacturing of "composite material" outdoor lighting fixtures.

IDL Italian Design Lighting was formed in 1987 from the merger of ideas of two associates, Lino Feltrin and Antonio Piva, who decided to apply their knowledge and experience to launch a manufacturing facility for interior decorative lighting.

The creation of the new brands DOLCE VITA Luxury Lighting and LUCE da VIVERE Living Lighting is the result of a strong creative thrust at IDL.
