Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS):
City of Aus n opened Aus n‐Bergstrom Interna onal Airport (ABIA) in 1999, a er conver ng the former
Bergstrom Air Force Base. Massive new construc on was undertaken including the modern 700,000 square
feet passenger terminal named a er Barbara Jordan “Texas Civil Rights Ac vist” and a new air‐control tower.
With over 4,200 acres owned by the City of Aus n, two (2) wide spaced parallel runways allowing
simultaneous landings and/or takeoffs. Twenty‐five (25) aircra loading gates with connec ng jet bridges
and currently construc ng a nine (9) gate expansion at the Barbara Jordan Terminal. Addi onally, the South
Terminal opened in 2017 providing three more gates. Over 13 million passengers traveled through Aus n's
airport in 2017. There 18 airlines opera ng at Aus n‐Bergstrom providing service to 70 nonstop des na ons.
The campus has a Hilton hotel (273 guest rooms) with an addi onal Hya Place hotel (139 guest rooms).
Over $280 million dollars in Capital Improvement are scheduled for mul ple parking lot projects, a new
Department of Avia on professional buildings and upgrades to make our traveling customers feel that
unique “Aus n, Texas Hospitality”. Addi onally, ABIA is ranked 5th among the 10 Best Domes c Airports by
Travel + Leisure magazine and 3rd amongst the World’s Best Airports for Customer Service 2016 in North
America by the Airports Council Interna onal’s (ACI) Airport Service Quality customer survey.

The Project Management Supervisor will be
responsible for the management and
supervision of professional staff works
coordina ng various engineering and
architectural projects and serves as team leader
on airport projects. Aus n Bergstrom
Interna onal Airport capital construc on
ac vity and expansion in the next 10 years will
be over $1 billion. The airport has a new large
number of airport projects over the next 5 ‐10
years. The Project Management Supervisor will
ensure customer service and the airport is
opera ng in a safe and secure manner during
project construc on. This posi on serves as
airport primary liaison with contractors,
consultants, and airport division and other City
Departments.

Minimum Qualifications Gradua on with a Bachelor’s degree from a four‐year
college or university with major coursework in
Engineering, Architecture, or in a field related to
engineering, plus six (6) years related work experience,
two (2) years of which were in a lead or supervisory
capacity.
Licenses or Cer fica ons: Registered Professional
Engineer or Architect.
Preferred Qualifications Management of projects in a high security area Management of projects in an environment where
the public is present and there is a strong emphasis on safety
Management of projects at a facility that operates on a 24‐hour basis
Management of projects at an airport or similar facility
Supervisor Experience
Salary & Compensation The Salary range for this posi on will be commensurate with an a rac ve benefit package.
