In the past, design problems were discovered only after the design was

built, resulting in costly redesign and manufacture. The ability to see whatthe project will actually do before it is created helps customers to identifyand correct potential defects early in the design process.

For example, a designer can analyze design concepts such as basic formand building orientation to determine the optimal location of a buildingbased on environmental factors such as daylight, overshadowing, solaraccess, and visual impact.
