MODULARITY IN THE STANDARD SET-UP

NUMERA® AUTOMATED SAMPLING SYSTEM Numera® allows drawing low volume samples from up to 16 bioreactors. The samples can be automatically preprocessed and stored

at chilled conditions. Preprocessing includes dilution, reagent addition and filtration. In addition to the standard modules, an advanced

set-up includes the Routing Module to allow direct injection into various analzyers and increases the user‘s flexibility.

Numera® offers 5 standard modules that can be combined according to your specific needs. Preprocessing, such as cell removal, is

performed in the dedicated module respectively.

CLOSE THE LOOPThe combination of the automated sampling system, Numera®, and the Process Information Management System, Lucullus®, enables

the automation of the whole workflow covering sampling, measurement, process monitoring and control.

In combination with Lucullus, all activities such as sampling, data alignment and analytics are optimized. By using predefined

and customized sampling schedules, Lucullus coordinates the interaction between bioreactor, Numera® and analytical devices. All

analytical data is automatically fed back into Lucullus® and assigned to the correct process and time. Hence, Numera® and Lucullus®

enable monitoring and control of process parameters (e.g. CPPs) without manual interaction.

The Routing Module, a novel core part of Numera®, enables the integration of various analyzers and adds

extra flexibility. Numera integrates up to 16 bioreactors or downstream devices, 4 different third-party

analyzers and an HPLC. It allows fast and direct transfer of biomass-containing or cell-free samples to

analytical devices or to the autosampler in order to be stored. For each sample and analyzer, the processing

steps within Numera® can be individually customized.
