SYSTEM REQUIREMENT The system that provides protection to a vehicle against any kind of theft.
Features:•Vehicle is accessed by using a card swipe system •Message will be received by the user•The vehicle can be stopped after few seconds if rider is forced to leave the vehicle •Providing all positional information so that the police can trap it.

B.TECH PROJECT PRESENTATION 2012-2013
AVR DEVELOPMENT BOARD
• Communicates with the card reader and displays messages on the LCD screen
• Accepts the password through a 3 x 4 keypad connected to PORT A
• Gives the output signal to START/STOP the vehicle

KEYPAD INTERFACING• In order to enter the password 3 X 4 keypad is used
• Connected to PORT A (PA0 to PA6)
• Adds security as large number of different combination of passwords can be set

ARM7 LPC2148• ARM LPC 2148 receives an
acknowledgement from AVR boardi. Pin 16 of Port 0 (pin 0.16)
receives TRUEii. Pin 18 of Port 0 (pin 0.18)
receives FALSE
• On board LEDS are used to indicatereceiving of co-ordinates from GPS receiver and sending of message by GSM module

B.TECH PROJECT PRESENTATION 2012-2013
GPS MODULE• Interfaced with ARM board through UART-1
• GPS receiver determines four variables: longitude, latitude, height and time
• Sends the coordinates to detect the position of the vehicle

DESIGN CHALLENGES
• In places where there is no provision of GSM networks it is difficult for the security system to respond.
• Sometimes system failure may occur due to hardware glitches.
• GPS receivers require line-of-sight to an orbiting satellite to acquire a positioning fix, so the tracking of vehicles in some places may fail.

B.TECH PROJECT PRESENTATION 2012-2013
FUTURE SCOPE
• Connecting a camera to the controller module that takes a photograph of the site where theft have occurred making tracking easier
• Use a E-Mail system for facilitating message transmission to the user
• Continuous tracking of vehicle, whenever owner wants
