No-Touch automatic taps and accessories from Dart Valley Systemsincorporate state-of-the-art design and technology and offer hygienicwater dispensing solutions to all market sectors - including hotels,supermarkets, laboratories, hospitals, schools, universities, airports,motorway services and food factories to name a few.

DVS’ extensive product range is suitable for use by the elderly ordisabled and the superior heavy duty construction offers resistance tovandalism and misuse. Easy to install, with options for Mains or batteryoperated, DVS No-Touch products allow you to control your waterefficiently, conserve energy and cut down on your costs withoutsacrificing performance and reliability.

How they work

With DVS automatic taps all of the electronics are housed within thebody of the tap. The solenoid valve and power supply are connected tothe tap using simple and secure IP65 rated cables and connectors.

When a user puts their hands under the tap, they are detected by aninfrared sensor and the solenoid valve opens. The tap will run whilstthere is motion in front of the sensor, allowing the user to wash theirhands thoroughly without having to constantly re-activate the tap. Oncethe user removes their hands the electronics will automatically close thesolenoid valve.

If the infrared sensor has been subject to vandalism and covereddeliberately the tap will only run for approx 2 minutes before locking outuntil the sensors are cleared.

The DVS range of taps cover all requirements including deck mounting,wall mounting, high neck and long reach.

What are the benefits of Automatic Taps?

Hygiene

Automatic taps are the most hygienic option available for hand washing. Thisis a very important aspect for everybody, but of increased importance where

people are handling food, or where cross contamination needs to be avoided.

Reliability

DVS automatic taps have been extensively developed and tested to achievethe current high levels of reliability. Quotation from Dean Hazell of JamesPaget Hospital "We first started trialling Dart Valley Systems’ automatic tapsover two years ago they have been totally reliable, and are good value formoney. Whilst the main consideration is hygiene to avoid cross

contamination, automatic taps also make significant savings on water".

Water Savings

Electronic taps use the "optimum" amount of water. DVS normally fit a 6 litreflow reducing aerator on the spout to control the flow of water and the tapsonly run when the hands are placed under the spout, limiting the water useto the precise time required and preventing taps being left running.

Water Technology List

If ECA is being claimed then this must be specified as theapproved taps must be fitted with the 5 litre flow outlet.

Aquarius High Neck

With its extra high body and long reach designthe Aquarius High Neck is perfect for raised sinksor glass bowls. Its simple but unique design alsomakes it exceptionally easy to clean.

The Aquarius High Neck is manufactured fromstainless steel, and with a solid 38mm stainlesssteel ingot for the head assembly. Standard finishfor this tap is brushed, but polished is availableas an extra.

Aquarius High Neck SV

This tap is a shorter version (SV) of the AquariusHigh Neck tap. Its shorter body makes it ideal forrecessed sinks whilst still retaining the mainattractions of the original Aquarius High Neck.Standard finish for this tap is brushed, butpolished is available as an extra.

Aquarius A32 and A45

Surgeons Scrub-Up

The Surgeons Scrub-Up tap is based on theAquarius WM tap but has additional featuresdesigned specifically for surgeons scrub-upareas.

The tap has a longer reach and also incorporatesa special chip providing longer sensing rangeand run-on time. This ensures that whilst thesurgeons wash their hands and forearms thetaps continue to run, and the 20 seconds run-ontime ensures the trough is adequately rinsedafter scrubbing up.

This tap is available in three standard lengths;150mm, 200mm and 250mm.

Aquarius WM Filter Tap

There may be certain high risk areas where pointof use filters may be considered. DVS havespecially designed this automatic tap to acceptpoint-of-use filters.

Disposable water filters for taps protect againstLegionella and other bacteria in the watersupply - for 14 day use.

Retro-fit Sensors

DVS also supply a complete range of modular tap sensors to fulfill therequirements of any customer. The sensors can be fitted retrospectivelyto existing water dispensing facilities or can be incorporated into newbuild installations. The sensors will effectively give any standard wateroutlet spout automatic wave-on control. Applications include taps,showers and hoses.

When a user waves their hand past the sensor the sensor will activatethe solenoid valve and will run for a pre-set time before automaticallyclosing the valve and shutting off the water.

Two channel controls are available where warm and cold water isrequired. A perfect companion for these retro-fit sensors is the Aquariustap spout with no electronics shown opposite.

Tap Control Systems

Tap Control System

The tap control system can be used for 1 or 2taps. The control system can be used with wave-on or tactile push sensors.

When a user waves their hand past the sensor(or pushes the tactile switch) the control systemactivates the solenoid valve, the valve will thenrun for a pre-set time before automaticallyclosing the valve and stopping the tap.

Various settings can be customised quickly andeasily from within the control box if necessary.

Features include:

• Saves water, ensures shut-off• No-touch operation• Hygienic - Helps avoid cross infection• Easy to use - Ideal for disabled or elderly• High performance & reliability• Easy to install & maintain• Can individually control 1 or 2 taps• Adjustable run-time• Settings allow option to ‘wave-off’• Switches off after pre-set time• Purge option to avoid stagnation

Automatic Tap Purge Controller

The automatic tap purge controller reducesmaintenance and the risk of Legionella bypurging the taps if they have not been operatedfor a predefined time.

Purge run times are adjustable and delay can beset to detect non-use between 6 hours and 15days. Purge can be set between 5 seconds and5 minutes. A periodic purge can be switched onor off.

Battery Backup Unit

The automatic tap battery backup unit houses a6v battery and will automatically switch frommains supply to battery in the event of a powerfailure.

When mains power is restored the unit willswitch back to mains supply. The units powerstatus is clearly indicated on the front of the boxwith led’s for quick diagnosis.
