TITRE New Strategies for the Synthesis of Stereochemically Rich
Heterocycles and PET Imaging Agents, and Efforts to Decipher Bed Bug Communication
RÉSUMÉ
Ourresearchprogramencompassesseveralaspectsofnaturalproductchemistryanddrugdiscovery.Specifically,weareengagedinthestructural identificationand largescalesynthesisof insectpheromonesaswellas thedevelopmentofsyntheticmethodsandstrategies toaccessstereochemically richheterocyclicnaturalproductsas leads fordrugdiscovery.Central toour researchphilosophyisanemphasisonstepeconomyandflexibility.Thisseminarwillhighlightouradvancesindecipheringandexploitingthechemicalcommunicationsystemofbedbugs,thedevelopmentofconvenientsynthesesofstereochemicallyrichheterocyclesincludingnucleosideanalogues,andthe identificationofC-Hfluorinationstrategiesforthe late-stagemodificationofdrug leadsandsynthesisofPETimagingagentsforoncology.
