    1.0 Purpose:These instructions are written to establish and implementhousekeeping requirements for the entire manufacturing facilities.

    2.0 Scope:These instructions are applicable for:1. All sections of manufacturing.2. Factory building and offices of the factory.3. aboratory

    3.0 Responsibility:

    !erson in"charge of human resources affairs or #ead of the $epartmentshall be responsible for effecti%e implementation of the instructionsgi%en at section &.' and %erifying that the #ousekeeping is satisfactoryby using pro%ided checklists. The person in"charge of human resourcesaffairs or #ead of the $epartment shall be responsible for ensuringnecessary resources( which may be required for effecti%eimplementation of the instructions. )A chemist is responsible to fogthe areas for sanitation purpose.

    4.0 Definition#ousekeeping: An acti%ity or a set of acti%ities to clean the

    manufacturing facilities( building( structuresand drains e*cept for manufacturing or testingequipment or instruments.

    +leaning Agents: ,aterials( which help to remo%e e*traneousmaterial from the surfaces and ob-ects.

    $isinfectants: ubstances( which destroy pathogenicmicroorganisms but not necessarily resistantspores. These materials are applied oninanimate ob-ects.

    /.1.1 The following cleaning equipment shall be used for %arioussections and areas of the factory:

    Floor ,ops: 0n all the areas of factory( use of floor mops shall

    be made. The mops shall preferably of squeee type. +ottonmops shall be allowed for use only if they do not shed linters.

    +loths and ponges: These shall be used on working surfaces(

    walls( ceiling and windowpanes in all areas of the factory.

    acuum +leaners: se of %acuum cleaners shall be made in

    all areas of factory.

    ,echanical Floor +leaners: These equipment are preferredchoice and shall be employed where%er possible consideringa%ailability of space to operate the equipment.

    /.1.2 se of brooms shall be a%oided as far as possible. #owe%er( theyshall be used to clean the corridors( roads and offices followed bymoping.

    /.1.3 The person in"charge of human resources affairs or #ead of the

    $epartment shall re%iew and consider use of any new cleaningequipment for pertinence( if required.

    5.2 Cleaning "gents

    The following detergents are used for cleaning purposes4 depending onareas requiring housekeeping:

    All the cleaning agents listed abo%e shall be used as supplied4 or inaccordance with 70nstructions for se8 by the supplier. #ead )A shallre%iew the chemical composition of cleaning agents4 to ensure there isad%erse effect on the compound or on the product.

    5.3 Cleaning Sc#e$ule

    /.3.1 Floors of %arious sections of factory as listed below shall becleaned e%eryday by moping with detergent( disinfectant andwater.
