Our

Dream

&

Your

Aim

he world can no longer be seen in shades of Tblack and white as it was in 1960 when the

Arwachin samiti was first set up. Change has

become the watchword of modern society : "If you

don't change with the times, you die!"

Yet, no mater how times change, no matter how

technology redefines education and learning, the one

thing that is changeless and permanent is our Indian

Identity : respect for elders and their wisdom, varied

beliefs, faith in God, Concern for the aged, giving back

to mother nature what is taken from her, emulating our

divine maker by being protectors, nurturers and

providers. In other words our Indian character remains

static while the methods we adopt in order to move

forward keep evolving, ever fresh, ever new.

As we start the 50th year of the existence of the

Shiksha Samiti, we enter a golden age, an era in which

we will continue to dream on: set new goals; develop

leadership qualities that will help to catapult India into

the international arena as a superpower; be team

workers but also hone the individual strength and

capability needed to take correct decisions; be tolerant

and compassionate but at the some time know when to

say no to injustice and wrong doing.

We will change with the times for the betterment of

ourselves, our country and the world but we will

remember our roots and be proud of our Indianess.

Within the framework of conquering the barriers of

ignorance and that which prevents us from doing what

is right, we will go onward, go forever forward lest we

be left behind! We believe in our relevance : ever fresh

ever fresh New Arwachin.

ducation is acquisition of the art of Eutilizing of knowledge. Knowledge in the management field, like other

disciplines, is expanding very fast. It is central to the human resource development and empowerment in any country, and the quality of education is judged by the kind of human beings it produces. Education is the means whereby adults pass on their beliefs and values to their children.

The growing internationalization of higher education, especially professional courses and institutions, the increasing international co-operation and the emergence of new, transnational education providers pose challenge to the national higher education system. The new knowledge-based society demands managers who are flexible and versatile. They need to learn continuously and upgrade their skills as technology advances. Innovative forms of transnational education based on internet have been opened to students around the world. This has made distance education more vibrant and a rewarding experience.

AWBS has been contributing to this educational revolution in its own way. Fully alive to the emerging challenge, the Business School has taken leadership in preparing managers of tomorrow armed with a distinct vision, imbued with technology and skills. The school strives to create all-round leaders in management and entrepreneurship by helping its students acquire the necessary skills.
