Welcome to the District Department of Transporta ons Anacos a Waterfront Ini a ve (AWI) Transporta on Master Plan UpdateInforma onal Mee ng.

The Master Plan serves as our roadmap for coordina ng all of the projects and ini a ves already being planned, designed andconstructed within the AWI Program area. The plan helps us to minimize construc on impacts on you -- our residents, businessesand other important stakeholders and also advance these important projects as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Tonights mee ng is intended to share with you the progress we have made and the projects and ini a ves being included in thenext Master Plan update currently being completed.

The mee ng is being conducted in two parts: 1) a short overview presenta on about the Master Plan and 2) an Open House to allowyou to learn more about the DDOT transporta on projects and other major partnering agency ini a ves being coordinated andincluded in the next Master Plan update.

Master Plan Corridors

In keeping with the Master Plan update, the Open House dividesthe program area into six corridors and also accounts for variousprogram area-wide and partnering agency projects and ini a ves.The six corridors are:

South Capitol Street Corridor Suitland Parkway Corridor Middle Anacos a Crossings Corridor Kenilworth Corridor M Street SE/SW Corridor Anacos a Riverwalk Trails Staff represen ng projects in each of the corridors will answeryour ques ons and add you to their contact lists for futureupdates and informa on.

The Anacos a Waterfront Ini a ve (AWI) is a 30-year, $10 billionseries of transporta on, environmental, economic, communityand recrea on projects that are transforming the shores of theAnacos a River into a world-class waterfront.
