Configuration Steps for VM in Azure Portal

Initial setup on New Azure Portal (Portal.azure.com)

1. Log in to the Azure Portal - https://portal.azure.com with the MS Azure Account

credentials.

2. Navigate to Virtual machines (classic) tab and create a New Virtual Machine .Select say

windows server and Select windows server image as shown in right side of screen

3. Select Classic optio for Select a deploy e t odel a d Click on Create button.

4. Enter the details for basic configuration of the VM

5. Choose the size for virtual machine as shown below in screen shot

6. User should be able to update the storage account names which will be created on creation

of VM.

7. In operational features configuration select Availability, default it is set to none, create new

availability set by clicking on Create New button.

8. Provide Name as shown below in screen shot and click OK

9. Click OK to move to the next step. Click OK.

10. VM Deployment will be started after clicking OK button as shown below-

Initial Setup on Old Portal ((https://manage.windowsazure.com)

1. Log in to https://manage.windowsazure.com with your MS Azure credentials.

2. Create new VM in Azure classic portal.

3. Click on the Virtual machine tab in the left panel, click on the New Button.

4. Then navigate to compute -> Virtual machine -> Quick Create, provide the required details and click

on the Create a Virtual Machine Button

5. Verify the VM Created as shown below
