AS/A LevelsAS/A Levels
• A Levels are split into two parts:
• AS and A2 Level
AS LevelAS Level• A one year course giving you an introduction to
the subject
• You will cover 3 units (or half the A Level syllabus)
• You will then take an exam and get a separate exam certificate which is equivalent to half an A Level
• If you do well and enjoy the subject you can continue in the second year to achieve the full A Level
A2 LevelA2 Level
• This is a further one year course
• You must have completed an AS Level in the subject before you begin the A2 course.
• You will be expected to study three subjects at A2
