Catholic Stewardship Appeal update Through your support, the Catholic Stewardship Appeal raises funds
for programs and ministries throughout our ten-county archdiocese.
Thank you for bringing help, hope, and healing. Our 2020 parish goal
is $13,393. As of May 31, our parish had reached 52% of that goal
with donations of $7,005. Thank you for your generosity!
Grotto repairs fund has anonymous donor When we have reached donations of $27,500 toward our $37,500
goal for grotto repairs, an anonymous donor will donate the final
$10,000 needed for the repairs. The amount donated as of June 7 is
$21,684. If you are financially able, please consider donating toward
our goal so we can get our beloved grotto fixed and safe for all to
enjoy once again.
Let us know when you plan to return to Mass If you replied on your survey that you would not be returning to
Mass on June 14, please let us know when your plans change and you
will return so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!
Northwest Catholic School News Congratulations to our 8th grade graduates!
Although we were not able to have the traditional
graduation ceremony and prayer service, the
Northwest Catholic staff paraded to the graduates’ homes and
placed signs in their front yards. Our principal, Mrs. Paris, presented
them with their diplomas and graduation gifts. We are proud of our
graduates and encourage them to go out and make a difference in
the world. Remember, Northwest Catholic School Knights are
Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Shine!
Northwest Catholic School is accepting applications for the 2020-
2021 school year. If you are interested in enrolling, contact Linda
Goeden at 414-352-6927. Come and take a look at what makes us a
High Performing School. All students are welcome!

Resiliency and well-being tips Experts say building resiliency helps with concerns
about health, family, and finances, among other
things. Resiliency is the ability to adjust in crisis to
ensure we can sustain over the long run.
Struggling to fall asleep at night? During these
stressful times, it can be hard to shut down. Consider
trying these ways to wind down the next time you
find yourself scrolling through social media when
you should be sleeping.
Take a hot bath or shower. The warm water
helps relax sore and tight muscles and raises
your core body temperature. When you get out,
your temperature will begin to drop, signaling
the production of melatonin, a naturally-
occurring hormone that helps regulate your
sleep cycle.
Read a book. Enjoying a book before bed can
reduce stress and calm your mind.
Write a list of what you need to do tomorrow.
Getting those thoughts on paper can help get
them off your mind.

Meet the St. B & OLGH staff members Phillip Aller, Maintenance at St. B: Phill was born and raised in
south central Lancaster county in Pennsylvania, with its rolling green
hills and farmland similar to Wisconsin. He converted to Catholicism
in 2002. Phill enjoys reading daily scripture readings, Catholic blogs,
and spiritual essays on this faith journey with others.
One of Phill’s favorite places to go to is into the great silence of The
National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion, Wisconsin,
for its peaceful and prayerful setting.
Phill has been doing maintenance for over 20 years in agriculture,
hotels, and apartments, and particularly enjoys fixing appliances.
Phill especially loves dogs and cats, but he cares about all of God’s
creatures great and small. He keeps an eye on the ducks that nest in
our grotto, and you might see him ushering ducklings out through
the gathering area and lobby.
Mike Nuskiewicz, Facilities Manager at OLGH: Mike will mark his
fifth year working in this role in August. Prior to working at OLGH, he
was a member of Glaziers Local 1204 here in Milwaukee. Although
he was born and raised in Green Bay, Mike has been living in the
Milwaukee area for 12 years now.
Growing up in the village of Allouez (a suburb of Green Bay), Mike
attended Abbot Pennings High School. He went on to Fox Valley
Technical Institute to complete a vocational program in electronics
repair. After a short stint as a repair technician at Sears, he joined the
USMCR and left for boot camp. When he returned, he found
employment with a general contractor and became a member of
Carpenters Local 1146. After seven years as a carpenter, he
transferred to the glaziers union. In 2008, he had a shoulder joint
replacement and could no longer work in construction.
Mike enjoys music, reading, and dining out. He is very grateful for all
the wonderful people he has met at OLGH and the friendships he has
made since he started working here.
Mike and Phill do their best to keep our parish facilities clean, safe,
and in working order for all to use. If you need to contact
maintenance, you can reach Phill at 414-358-4600, ext. 142, and
Mike at 414-352-1148, ext. 211.
