AbstractAbstract• A lesson study was conducted on the use of Games
Concept Approach (GCA) to teach students to
differentiate the 2 types of passes (toss and throw), andapply them accordingly to the game situation.
• Teachers involved have met up earlier to discuss and
produce a lesson plan that meets the above objective.
• During the lesson study, teachers were deployed to take
down observations and videocams were used to recordthe whole PE lesson.

AbstractAbstract• After the lesson, a review was done and refinements
were added into the lesson plan.
• The refined PE lesson was then conducted with another class with similar profile.
• A final review was done after the 2nd lesson with viewson future lessons.
• This lesson study is finally presented at the PESTA
Launch & PE Conference on 17 Aug’11 at RepublicPolytechnic.
