Web Tasks Part 1

• Create a BA branches blog with branch level access to edit their own sections/ consistent branding and message / flexible / linked into BA site.

• Investigate interactive web 2.0 tools and linking/embedding other sites into the BA site, e.g. YouTube, Slideshare etc. Report back to the branches on what can be done on the BA site.

• Investigate weekly email of web stats to ROs and branches.

• Investigate feasibility of online meetings (for branches/ROs and central office)

RSS Feeds• (Not on original list but widely desired)• Can we add RSS feeds to the BA web

site?• JM said: Currently these could be created and

maintained manually and updated regularly but it's a fair bit of work (volunteers?). We currently don't have automated means of generating these XML files directly from the CMS database reflecting for example the news pages of the website. Obviously putting too much on RSS may mean visitors won't need to visit our site (they should just have a brief intro enticing them to come and read more).

Web Stats

• Investigate weekly email of web stats to ROs and branches.– I have not done this

Online Meetings

• Investigate feasibility of online meetings (for branches/ROs and central office).

• Commercial Teleconference– Approx 8p per min per caller. Chair can

control callers and slides.

• Skype and web site– 2p per call. Less control.
