A plug and play solutionThe Autonomous Injection UnitBabyplast I/10P is comprised ofan injection unit which can beinstalled directly onto a mould
and an operating case,on wheels, which contains the
proportional hydraulic andelectronic control units. Theconnection to the injection
moulding machine can be car-ried out quickly and easily,thanks to a simple interface
using current free INPUT/OUT-PUT contacts. Any injection
moulding thermoplastic materialcan be processed with proces-sing temperatures up to 400°C.
Add-on injection unit formulti-component injection moulding
The advantage of the Babyplastinjection unit for multi-componentmoulding is that the unit is completelyautonomous, at least as far as theelectronics and hydraulics areconcerned, from the main machineand, by means of a simple interfaceusing free contacts, it is possible toconnect the unit to any injectionmoulding machine. Considering thefact that in most applications usingmulti-component moulding, the maincomponent is usually of a muchgreater volume than that of the secondcomponent, thanks to the low shotweight, from 3 to 15cc for the standardinjection unit and up to 36cc for theaugmented version, the (UAI) injectionunit permits precise injection shots andminimum resident times at meltingtemperature. The AutonomousInjection Unit (UAI), offers aneconomical and practical solution fortransforming an existing, standard,traditional single component injectionmoulding machine, into amulti-component machine.Another advantage is in the flexibilitywhen choosing the position of the unit:The injection unit of the UAI,thanks to its compact size(approx.400x500x200mm), can beinstalled directly onto the mould, eitherhorizontally or vertically, and either onthe fixed half or on the moving half.This simplifies the mould constructionconsiderably and allows the freedomto choose the best injection point forthe second component. It is alsopossible to install the unit directly ontoautomatic production lines.
Installation onto an automaticproduction line
Standard features include:- Safety key to give consensus for startingproduction via the keypad only.
- Injection transducer to monitor theinjection piston position.
- Decompression- Intrusion programme- Sprue break- PID temperature control- 4 heating zones (3 for the injection unitand 1 free).
- Possibility to control a hotrunner needlevalve system.
- Inverter to control motor speed.- Two injection pressures and two injectionspeeds
- Display a colori Touch-screen- IP 54 protection for removable keypad- Quality control (cycle time and cushion).- Output for rejecting out of tolerance parts- Possibility to change language- Possibility to save up to 100 mouldsettings.
- Rapid type connections between controlunit and injection unit
- 1 integrated cooling zone- Speed control for plastification, injectionand injection carriage.
Optional features available- Mixer nozzle with static mixer- Nozzle for injecting directly into part- Shutoff nozzle.- Anchor plates for fixing injection unit tomould
