7:30pm - The Symphonic Band (8th and 9th Grade)

will perform its' Fall concert in the Auditorium.

Doors will open for audience members at 7:15pm.

2021 - 2022 Band Shirts Band T-Shirts are up for sale again and the last day to

order is next Tuesday - August 31st! These shirts will be

worn at the majority of our band performances this year,

including the fall concerts, winter concerts, spring concerts,

pep band, and any other band events. You can also wear

them anywhere else you want! These aren't just for the kids

either - parents, you can order one too and show your

Pep BandThis year, we are introducing what many schools have as a long-standing

tradition - a middle school pep band. This ensemble will be comprised of 7th

and 8th Grade band members. This season, we will play at 2 football games -

September 21st and 28th . Band members will stay after school on these days

where they will be fed a free dinner, have a short rehearsal, and the play in

the stands in support of our football team. At halftime, the band will be

dismissed, at which point they may leave and go home or stay and watch the

rest of the game.

Beginning Band InstrumentsFor any beginning band members wishing to do the instrument rent-to-own program with Amro

Music, please follow the link below. Once you select "Tennessee" as the state, you will select

"Springfield Middle School" as the school. From there, you select the appropriate instrument

and fill out the online form. Once ordered, Amro will ship the instrument to the school where it

will be given to the appropriate band member.

Spring TripOn September 16th at 7:00pm at

Springfield High School, we will have

our first meeting regarding the Spring

band trip. This trip will be for 8th and

9th Grade band members. The band is

set to travel to Disney in Orlando, FL

from April 6th through April 10th in

2022. In the meeting we will discuss

pricing, payments, itineraries,

transportation and other details about

the trip with a representative from the

travel agency are working with.
