1. What measures will you take to make your constituency crime free and

safe for women?

• Encourage Societal participation through regular citizen interaction

with each other and with law enforcement authorities

• Adopt “Know your Neighbour” programs

• Implement “Neighbourhood Watch / Eye” initiatives

• Ensure usage of GPRS and visible patrolling by law enforcement

• Make police stations people friendly

• Create awareness about various self-defence techniques for women

• Illuminate streets well

• Provide mobile safety applications especially for women, teens and elders in society

• Enforce laws and repose faith in the system

2. What steps will you take towards road improvement as well as traffic

improvement?

• Make out an integrated traffic management plan

• Reduce street parking as much as possible by providing multilevel (overnight also) parking lots

• Prevent road encroachments

• Regulate street vendors

• Decongest traffic by improving junctions and improving public transportation

• Establish synchronized traffic signals

• Demarcate / make arterial and sub arterial roads

3. What are your plans for waste management and garbage segregation in

your constituency?

• Established “My Clean Malleshwaram” forum

• Implement Source Segregation of waste

• Create awareness about innovative waste disposals, at source

• Encourage societal participation

• Offer several solutions like Bulk Generators, Aerobic composting, etc.

• Decentralize waste management units

4. What is your proposed action plan to provide drinking

water to the citizens in your constituency?

Short term measures:

• Provide additional quota of water

• Enforce strictly Rain Water Harvesting

• Recharge Bore wells

• Recycle water

Long term measures:

• Create Operation and Maintenance policy to reduce wastage from present

40% to 15%

• Bring accountability and measurability to both water supply/water

distribution

• Reduce, Recycle and Reuse

5. Do you have any solutions to address the power outage that affects

citizens in your city?

• Increase Solar generation and energy efficiency

• Connect excess power generated back to Grid

• Reduce consumption and transmission losses by using bundled cables

• Encourage use of Renewable energies

• Reduce cost of implementing alternate sources of power generation at household level.

6. Have you worked out any other development plans that will improve your

constituency? Eg. Slums, health care, education, etc.

Towards improving the overall quality of life of the common man, several schemes

have been implemented under my leadership over the past 5 years at Malleswaram constituency.

Specifically development plans for Slums would be:

• Government funded low cost housing

• Organized development of rehoused slum dwellers by

providing all basic amenities

Specifically development plans for Healthcare would be:

•Push for preventive healthcare

•Imbibe fitness in all

•Educate public on better nutrition

•Screen health for all – especially the vulnerable in society

•Create a primary health care centre for each ward

•Maintain Public Parks and playgrounds established

Specifically, development plans for Education would be:

• Skill and need based education

• Establish Community Colleges

• Improve overall quality of education

• Develop government schools to be on par with private schools

Contribution to the Revenue side of BBMP through implementations of key projects which

have resulted in more than 1000 crores of revenue to BBMP:

• Implemented Optic Fibre (OFC policy)

• Streamlined e-procurements,

• Creation of Road History project

• Launched Property mapping (PID project)

• Brought about accountability of civic agencies

• Replaced entire arterial sanitation and water supply pipelines with enhanced

capacity-with a futuristic view to avoid clogging
