    SCOPE

    A. Geographic Information

Barili is located 61 kilometers southwest of Cebu City. It is bounded on the south by the

municipality of Dumanjug; on the north by the municipality of Aloguinsan; on the east by

the municipalities of Carcar and Sibonga and in the west by Tanon Strait.

    B. Reason for Choosing Barili

We heard a lot of stories regarding Barili. They say that itsa nice place to get in

touch with nature. The people are very friendly and very approachable. Unlike here in

the city, there you can breathe fresh air and see luscious green mountains. To ouradvantage, we also have a member who is a local in Barili.

    C. Methodology of the Study

In preparation for our cultural mapping, we had scheduled an appointment with the

Mayor of Barili to help us with our project. We also called the museums ahead so that

we will not have a problem going in. We also made sure that the forms and letters were

already signed by the moderators and that our parents knew every single detail about

    the project.
