Happy Father's Day!!- On this Father's Day let us lift up in prayer all of our dads, living and de-ceased, not just today, but each day. Jesus was given a foster father in Saint Joseph, who very quietly and in the background took care of Mary and Jesus beginning by being a just and holy man. St. Pope John Paul II, in one of his letters, gives us a picture of St. Joseph as one enveloped in love: love of God, love of his spouse, and love of the child committed to his care, Jesus. May St. Joseph intercede on behalf of all husbands and fathers.

Prayer for the Fathers in Our Lives Rev. Chuck Currie, SJ

We give our thanks, Creator God, for the fathers in our lives. Fatherhood does not come with a manual,

and reality teaches us that some fathers excel while others fail. We ask for Your blessings for them all and forgiveness where it is needed.

This Father's Day we remember the many sacrifices fathers make for their children and families,

and the ways--both big and small--they lift children to achieve dreams thought beyond reach.

So too, we remember all those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent

grandfathers and uncles, brothers and cousins, teachers, pastors and coaches and the women of our families.

For those who are fathers, we ask for wisdom and humility in the face of the task of parenting.

Give them the strength to do well by their children and by You. In Your Holy name, O God, we pray. Amen.

A Father's Prayer

Unknown

Father, I thank you for the gift of my family for whom I now pray and upon whom I now ask you to shower your blessings.

With St. Joseph as my guide, may I always be ready to spend my life for them.

Bless my wife whom you have given to me as my spouse, sharing in your wondrous work of creation.

May I see her as my equal and treat her with the love of Christ for his Church. May Mary be her guide and help her to find your peace and your grace.

Bless my children with your life and presence. May the example of your son

be the foundation upon which their lives are built, that the Gospel may always be their hope and support.

I ask you, Father, to protect and bless my family. Watch over it so that in the strength of your love

its members may enjoy prosperity, possess the gift of your peace and, as the Church alive in this home,

always bear witness to your glory in the world. Amen. Annual Gift Update - Thank you to all who have sent in their Annual Gift/”Parish Dues”. As of June 12th we have received about $43,295 from 645 families. Last year's total was $67,295. In addition, we have received additional gifts totaling a little over $9,989 which is about 47% of last year’s total of $21,425. A follow up letter went out to all who had not yet submitted their gift for this year. If our letter crossed paths with you sending in your gift, please disregard the second letter. As I have mentioned these gifts constitute about 11% our ordinary income and as such are very im-portant to the parish. As we approach the end of the fiscal year on June 30th I ask all of those who have not yet made this donation to do so. Once again thanks for all that you do to support our parish!

Pre K 3 & 4 Farewells - On Monday, June 12th the Pre K-3 and Pre K-4 programs had their Farewell Ceremonies for the year. In the first year of our Pre K-3 program 13 children participated and were so well cared for by Mrs. Pereira and assisted by Ms. Hunt. There are already more than that registered for next year. The Pre K-4 had 35 students participat-

ing and were full of vitality as they sang or recited about a dozen different songs or poems. Congratulations goes out to Mrs. Powers and Mrs. Lempke on a job very well done. It is very impressive what the students were able to accomplish.

Kindergarten Graduation - On Wednesday, June 7th, our 26 students in the Kindergarten Class of 2017 had their graduation ceremony. They were wonderfully prepared and taught by their teacher, Mrs. Erin Mackiewicz. It was very evident that they had accomplished a great deal this past year as they each read and sang that night and joined right in when we prayed. May the Lord bless these new 1st graders with a safe and fun summer. Next year’s kindergarten class will require that there be two sections. Spread the good word about our school.

June 22 & 29 - Since school is out for the summer the usual 8:45 a.m. Mass on Thursday, June 22 & 29, will be cele-brated at 7:30 a.m.

July & August Weekday Mass Schedule - During the months of July and August there will be two daily Masses Mon-day to Friday at 6:30 a.m. and Noon. The twice daily confessions continue after the 6:30 a.m. Mass and from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place beginning after the 6:30 a.m. Mass until the Noon Mass. This schedule allows for one friar-priest to be able to cover the entire schedule as well as a funeral, thus allowing for the other to be away for vacation, retreat, workshops, etc. The regular schedule will resume the day after Labor Day on Tuesday, September 5th.

Schedule of Devotions for the Summer - Here is the schedule for the Monthly Devotions during the summer: Padre Pio - Will NOT be held in July & August and will resume on Saturday, September 2 Our Lady of Czestochowa - Will be held as usual on the 2nd Sunday of the month Our Lady of Guadalupe - Will NOT held in June, July & August and will resume on Sunday, September 24 Divine Mercy - Will be held as usual on the 1st Sunday of the month

Where to go to Mass while on vacation? - A reminder that there is a good tool on the internet to find a Catholic Church and their Mass times while on vacation. Just go to masstimes.org and put in the zip code or City and State and a list of parishes and their Mass times will come up. It is probably a good idea to double check with a call to the parish to make sure that a change has not been made. How very important it is for us and our families that we keep our priori-ties in place and teach our children to do the same, especially when it might not be convenient. Our actions speak so much louder than our words.

Final Thoughts - A very Happy Father's Day to all of the dads!! • How is your sweet tooth doing? Lots of good reme-dies courtesy of St. Vincent de Paul Society after all of the Masses this weekend!! • My Orioles were absolutely de-stroyed by the Yankees who have taken control of the AL East. Not looking good right now, but still 100 games to play. • See page 5 about an opportunity for one boy and one girl from the parish to go to Camp Stanica for free. • Keep the faith and have a blessed week. - Fr. Joe

B I U L E T Y N Parafialny - 18 czerwiec 2017

Uroczystość Najświętszego Ciała i Krwi Pańskiej - rok A

„Kto spożywa moje Ciało i Krew moją pije, trwa we Mnie, a Ja w nim” – mówi Jezus.

(...) Komunia św. to coś więcej niż zjednoczenie. To stopienie się!” – wyznaje Marta Robin (mistyczka, która przez ponad 50 lat była sparaliżowana i przykuta do łóżka. Jej życiu towarzyszyły nadzwyczajne zjawiska, m.in. stygmaty. Przez wiele lat nie przyjmowała pokarmów, pożywiając się jedynie Komunią Świętą).

CANDLE BEFORE THE BLESSED MOTHER this week is burning in memory of +Peter Holubecki and John Kapinos at the request of their grandson John & family.

VOCATION MOMENT - Jesus has given us His Body to eat and His Blood to drink so as to nour-ish us on our journey towards Heaven. All are called in Christ, but some are chosen to nourish His body as priests and in the con-secrated life. Could you be among them? Contact one of our friars, visit www.franciscans.org, or check out the friars’ new Face-book page at https://www.facebook.com/conventualfranciscansusa.
