From Bayeux, medieval capital of Bessin, where you can explore the cathedral and the Tapestry, as well as its museums, head in the direction of the Mont-Saint-Michel passing through countryside typical of the area known as ‘bocage’. Travelling along the hedge-lined back roads you will be able to admire Juaye-Mondaye Abbey, visit sites which witnessed the Battle of Normandy and explore remarkable manor farmhouses as well as enjoy panoramic views.
