BCAM-Basque Center for Applied Mathematics collaborates with the Asociación de Divulgación Científica Pint of Science Spain

BCAM-Basque Center for Applied Mathematics collaborates with the Scientific Dissemination Association "Pint of Science Spain" and sponsors “Pint of Science 2016”, an international festival of science that is held simultaneously worldwide in several countries. This is a free event without profit spirit whose purpose is to bring science to society, holding informative talks aimed to the general public in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere of a bar. Researchers at representative research centers in each city disclose what they do, explain their scientific work and why research is important.

Goran STIPCICH, is one of the organizers of the event in Bilbao. Luca GERARDO-GIORDA y Mario FERNÁNDEZ PENDÁS will be speakers and will discuss, in spanish, their work and research in BCAM:

BCAM-Basque Center for Applied Mathematics colabora con la Asociación de Divulgación Científica Pint of Science España y patrocinia el Pint of Science 2016, un festival internacional de la ciencia que se celebra simultáneamente a nivel mundial en varios países del mundo. Se trata de un evento gratuito y sin ánimo lucro cuyo propósito es acercar la ciencia a la sociedad, celebrando charlas divulgativas dirigidas al público general en el ambiente distendido y agradable de un bar. Los investigadores de centros de investigación representativos de cada ciudad dan a conocer a qué se dedican, explican su trabajo científico y por qué la investigación es importante.
