Fundraising is easy! Here are some top tips on how you can make yours a real success!

It’s not hard to create a buzz when there are giant inflatables involved! So build the excitement and let friends and family know in advance that you’re going all Gung-Ho! for BBC Children in Need. That way they’ll have plenty of time to sponsor you, arrange to cheer you on or even sign up too!

Many companies run matching schemes to support staff fundraising, so it’s worth checking in with any business you know or work with: it’s an easy way to boost your fundraising total!

Your Gung-Ho! challenge might be your focus for the next few weeks but the fact is some people may simply forget to sponsor you! Give your friends and family a nudge once you’ve crossed the finish line with a few great snaps from the day! Don’t forget to tag your photos with @BBCCiN – we’d love to see them!

No one tires of hearing the words ‘Thank You’. It reminds your supporters that they’ve contributed to something amazing and helped you to reach your fundraising target.

Once you’ve collected all your money or finished raising sponsorship online, just pay in your cash or close your online page. You’ll find all the details you need about paying in your money at bbc.co.uk/pudsey.

After you’ve set up your online giving page, get sponsored by posting your link on social media, sending out emails and telling the world about your fun inflatable run! Send your sponsorship link to colleagues as well as friends and family so that everyone has a chance to support.

How your sponsorship makes a difference

LoganSchool for Parents

Last year BBC Children in Need helped change the lives of 480,000 disadvantaged children and young people living across the UK through supporting over 2,500 active projects.

Here’s just a taster of what the money you raise could help fund. Thank you.

Remember Logan from last year’s BBC Children in Need show? Logan’s mum Caroline was told that he probably wouldn’t be able to walk as a result of cerebral palsy. But with help from ‘School for Parents’ in Nottingham, Logan took his first unaided steps when he was five years old.

Logan is making fantastic progress and becoming increasingly mobile thanks to Erika who specialises in a technique called Conductive Education. Erika has been crucial in helping Logan have the confidence and belief to walk.

Erika’s role is funded by BBC Children in Need. Money you raise helps fund projects all over the UK, including over 500 groups and organisations working with disabled children and young people like Logan.

helps support a 17-year-old girl who was dependant on drugs to turn her life around and find a job

means a teenage boy with autism can spend an hour at a life skills course where he can learn to travel independently

helps support a five year old girl to feel safe, calm and unafraid as she testifies against her abuser

means a group of children living in a deprived area can have an hour of weekend football, keeping them active and healthy over winter

Sponsorship Form

If you’re going to be clambering up inflatable stairs, throwing yourself down a five storey high slide and tackling 6.5ft balls, you’ll want to be raising some decent money from it! Encourage friends and family to sponsor you and make your efforts count for thousands of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

We recommend raising your sponsorship money online. An online sponsorship link can be sent out easily to friends and family far and wide through social media. We’ve set up a special event for Gung-Ho! on BT MyDonate’s website from which you can create a fundraising page, or you can also set up a page on any other online giving website. Alternatively, you can print out our sponsorship form here.

Full paying in details can be found at bbc.co.uk/pudsey

Top Tip! Don’t forget to encourage your supporters to Gift Aid too - for every £1 donated, BBC Children in Need gets an extra 25p from the government - without costing your supporters a penny!
