Manufactured in Ireland using the latestcoating technology, ThrutonePlus slates offerthe best of both worlds in terms of beautyand function. The superb surface and edgecoating of ThrutonePlus, combined with atraditional fixing system that ensures everyslate is attached in three places, creates aroofing product unsurpassed for quality andsecurity. ThrutonePlus slates come with a20-year colour guarantee.

Part of the ThrutonePlus range, Relief slatesare a popular choice among builders ofbeautiful homes. The textured surface andsquare edges provide a subtle change fromthe normal smooth finish and create anenhancement to the overall aesthetic qualityof the roof. ThrutonePlus Relief slates comewith the same improvements and guaranteepackage as ThrutonePlus.

Tegral Rivendale slates are designed to reflectthe qualities of natural slate at a fraction ofthe cost. Available in Blue-Black and Heathercolours, Rivendale also have new improved‘dressed’ edges and a 20-year colourguarantee.

Supercem

Supercem slates areproduced in a deepblack colour. Theyare available in600mm x 300mmand are rectangularin shape. TegralSupercem slates arecovered by a 10-year colourguarantee.

Graphite Blue

Graphite Blue slatesare produced inone colour and600mm x 300mmsize. They are blue-grey in colour andare covered by a10-year colourguarantee.

Tegral Fibre-Cement slates are manufactured to EN 492: 2005 Class B. (This standard is the highest classification attainable). They are also manufactured underthe ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Group Technical Laboratories are fully equipped to meet the test requirements of EN 12326 for Natural Slates.

Guarantees for natural slates are contained in the brochure for the relevant product.Please consult these publications which are available on request.

Under certain climatic conditions, moisture movement in fibre-cement slates can causeminor flexing of the exposed edges. This does not affect their structural integrity ortheir weatherproof performance and will reduce in time.

USEThrutonePlus and Rivendale slates are for use onpitched roofs, or hung vertically in accordance withthe fixing of Fibre Cement slates as specified in theIrish Code of Practice for Slating and Tiling ICP2:2002, or the British Code of Practice for Slating andTiling BS 5534: 2003 and BS 8000: Part 6.Reference should also be made to Tegral's SlatingManual.

STRUCTURAL GUARANTEEThrutonePlus and Rivendale slates meet therequirements of EN 492: 2005 and when fixed inaccordance with ICP2: 2002 and BS 5534: 2003carry a 30 year structural guarantee from the dateof manufacture. If during the period of guaranteethe product is found not to conform to the statedproperties in the standard, when sampled inaccordance with ISO 390, the affected slates willbe replaced at no cost.

THRUTONE COLOURISATIONThe Thrutone colourisation system is a multi-stageprocess, incorporating water-based coatings andensuring a highly durable surface finish.

COLOUR GUARANTEETegral Building Products Ltd guarantee the Thrutonecolourisation system for a period of 20 years. Theslates will be affected by weather as describedbelow and will take on a more matt appearanceover time. However, when the roof is viewed froma reasonable distance, the slates will continue toshow their generic colour appearance. IfThrutonePlus or Rivendale slates fail to give theirgeneric colour appearance within the 20-year period,then an on-site treatment to the affected area(s)will be applied free of charge.

This guarantee does not affect consumers' statutoryrights.

WEATHERINGOn exposure the slate surface and/or its coatingwill be affected by weathering which may vary withsite location, aspect, pitch of roof and duration ofexposure. Any deterioration in this respect shallnot detract from the mechanical and physicalcharacteristics as specified in the standard or fromthe function of the slate as a durable element.
