DMCS Summer eNewsletter June 13, 2019

Dear Parents-

The building is buzzing this week with our summer programs.

It is great to have students in the building working and

learning. I also enjoy seeing our Bethlehem Academy students

helping our maintenance crew clean. It is good to see these

past students and know they are working to earn tuition

dollars. Our funds could not be going to anything more

important!

In the past seven days new floors have been poured in Ms.

Wegrzyn’s and Mrs. Brossard’s rooms and I have hired two

new teachers! Things are getting done! Our new 1st grade

teacher comes to us as a recent graduate of St. Mary’s

University in Winona. Her name is Anna Washburn and she is

a Kenyon native. She is excited to begin preparing for the

group of students she will teach this fall. Our new preschool

teacher and director is Elodie Metro. She comes to us with

preschool teaching and directing experience from Michigan.

Elodie moved to Faribault late last summer and has substitute

taught for us this past year. She and her husband have two

daughters in our school. We are thrilled to welcome these two

ladies to the Divine Mercy Family!

Our annual fundraising gala is just around the corner. Please

join us for Scholarship Night on Friday, June 21st. Just by

purchasing tickets for the dinner and attending you will be

helping to support our school. This is a fun evening for adults

to relax and enjoy fellowship. There will be a DJ, fun games

(heads and tails), great food, and a live auction! We would

love to see you there joining in support of our school. The

funds raised are vital to our mission and we need your help.

Call the school office for more information!

As the summer progresses, we continue to anticipate next

school year. This year, to help in your planning, we are

moving our dress code clothing exchange up a few weeks. We

will be accepting donations of gently used dress code clothing

the week of July 9-13. Anyone may bring in their gently used

dress code clothing to give to others. We will be open for

anyone looking for dress code clothing the weeks of July 16

through August 9. We know that this exchange helps many

people and we are happy to provide the opportunity. Please

call the office with any questions.

I hope to see many of you Saturday night as we walk in the

annual Heritage Days Parade. We are excited to be part of one

of the great events of the summer in Faribault. We have fun

give-aways and candy to pass out. We will see you on the

way!

Enjoy these precious days!
