Sonshine Choir Home ConcertSunday, July 22, 7 pm, SanctuaryOur Sonshine Choir toured to Chicago July 13 - 21. While on tour, sang in churches, retirement homes, facilities for the mentally, physically and emotion-ally challenged, children’s day camps and juvenile detention centers. Come hear the Sonshine Choir in a Home Concert as they share their experiences with their church family.

Construction has begun on the Billy Jim Vaughn Boy Scout Memorial Park across from the entrance of the Turner Discipleship Center. The small park honors Billy Jim Vaughn, longtime Scout Master of Troop One, and the scouting ministry of BUMC.

They will perform a wide variety of choral music, from sacred masterworks to gospel. The concert is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be received.

Foundation Scholarship Recipients The Brentwood UMC Foundation is pleased to announce the following winners of

its 2012-2013 scholarships: Mallory Glasgow, Jennifer Johnson, Sara Rains, Kath-erine Schenck. The BUMC Foundation awards four scholarships each year to active members of BUMC. At least three of the renewable scholarships go to graduat-ing high school seniors and the fourth is available for college students returning for graduate studies. Better Decisions Mentors: A Rewarding Experience for Women Better Decisions, a nonprofit organization that teaches decision-making skills to inmates
