CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Beautyderm WW is a safe ingredient for to-pical application, is not irritating or sensiti-zing to skin and eyes, making it ideal in the formulation of products for children and for personal hygiene. Its ability to give a good elegant skin feel as well as the feeling of delicacy and softness makes Beautyderm WW a suitable emulsifier

for all sprayable fluid formulations and cold emulsion systems (wet wipes, milks and body lotions). In addition, it is very simple to use resulting in lower production costs.

Appearance at 20°c: viscous limpid liquid

Colour: from yellowish to brown

Odour: light, characteristic

Density at 20°c: approx. 0.98 g/cm3

Solubility: dispersible in water systems

Beautyderm WW is a new generation cold-process emulsifier. It is derived from skin compatible raw materials of natural ori-gin: olive oil, castor oil and vegetable glyce-rine. Being a liquid emulsifier, an O/W emul-sion with emollient and softening activity is easily produced by agitation alone. Beautyderm WW is ideal for all type of appli-cations where heating is not required.Beautyderm WW is suitable for use in wet wipe emulsion technology. It allows emulsi-fication of the lipid phase components (per-fume, preservative, fat-soluble extract, oil) in an aqueous continuous phase which are then impregnated into the wet wipe substrate.

Beautyderm WW is also suitable for cold-pro-cess emulsions, where a rheological modifier of either synthetic (carbomer or polyacryla-te) or natural (cellulose, xanthan gum, etc.) origin may be included to give the desired consistency. It has multifunctional benefits of skin hydration and moisture retention due to the presence of ricinoleate and stearate esters.It also provides excellent skin tolerance, ma-king Beautyderm WW especially useful in sensitive skin and baby cosmetic formulations.
