Award in Outdoor Learning (Level 1)

A hands on, fun two and a half day course for people who want to learn more about

Outdoor Learning and Forest School and those who want to volunteer at sessions.

Dates: 19-21 September 2016

Award in Assisting Forest School / Coastal School (Level 2)

A four day course over three months for people wanting to qualify as a Forest School or

Coastal School Assistant. The course requires coursework to be completed in your own

study time and participation in 3 sessions.

Dates: Dates: 26 September, 17 & 31 October & 21 November 2016

Award in Outdoor Learning Practice (Level 2)

Three packed days of training over three months designed to help you use the outdoors

in your own setting as a more productive learning environment, and build your

confidence and repertoire of skills and techniques.

Dates: 26 September, 17 October & 21 November 2016

This course is an essential requirement for going on to the Award in Co-ordinating an

Outdoor Curriculum (Level 3) which is for people who have a role to co-ordinate

outdoor learning in their setting. Contact us for more details about this.

Award in Outdoor Play Practice (Level 2)

A course that will help you to maximise the play potential of your site no matter how big

or small, and provide you with lots of ideas for resourcing an area to promote ‘nature’

play.

Dates: 26 September, 17 October & 21 November 2016

Certificate in Leading Forest School (Level 3)

Our most popular course - 6 days of training for people who wish to become Forest

School Leaders and/or set up their own Forest School.

The course includes units in: Supporting Learning, Play and Development in the Outdoors,

Observation and Evaluation of Outdoor Learning, Sustainable Use of Natural Resources,

Teach Outdoor Practical Skills, Forest School Leader.

The qualification takes a minimum of 9 months to complete. Please check with us for

entry requirements.

Dates: 3-5 October and 7-9 November 2016

Certificate in Leading Coastal School (Level 3)

This course is for people who wish to become Coastal School Leaders and/or set up their

own Coastal School.

Dates: 3-5 October and 7-9 November 2016

NB the new Outdoor Learning Qualification Pathways allow the completion of a Certificate in

Leading Forest School AND Coastal School – ask for details.

Coastal School Leader Unit (Level 3) Top-up Route

This agreed top-up route from the Outdoor Learning Wales Training Network is for Forest

School Leaders who have qualified through Agored Cymru within the last five years.

Dates: 22-23 June 2016

All accredited courses are certificated by Agored Cymru and are part of the QCF.
