• Most people were poor in Belfast but not all were.
• In the early 1900s Belfast was still a city.
• The Titanic was built to carry people and goods such as:
• Cigarettes
• Cutlery
• Food
• The construction of the Titanic began in 1909.
• It took 3000 workers and 3 years to build the Titanic.
• The bottom of the ship was made from 2000 steel plates held together by over 3,000,000 rivets.
• The Titanic was launched on the 31st May 1911.
• Although the Titanic was afloat, it still needed alot of work.
• Everything about the Titanic was big from the propellers too the 1st class dining room.
• After the frame was built the fitting’s had to be fitted such as:
• Funnel’s
• Pipe’s
• Light’s
• On the maiden voyage Titanic carried lots of things such as :
• Cigars• People• Cutlery• Food• Beds to sleep in
